After breakfast, you will head out for an afternoon trip from Cairo to Alexandria. This is part of our luxury Egypt tours. You will be taken by a climate controlled vehicle. The drive takes about three hours, with a short stop for a break.

When you reach Alexandria, you will see the city where the Mediterranean meets the coast.

We will start at Pompey’s Pillar. It marks a Roman win tied to Emperor Diocletian. Next, you will go to the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. These tombs were found only a few decades ago. They are known as one of the biggest Roman burial sites. After that, we will travel along the coast. Then we will reach the Citadel of Qaitbay. It stands where the old Pharos Lighthouse once was. The site sits well at the tip of a thin strip of land that reaches into the Eastern Port.

The Modern Library of Alexandria is among the earliest and most admired places for science work in history.

For lunch, you will dine at a restaurant with views of the harbour. The seafood meal will give you a calm pause after your time on the road. After lunch, you will return to your hotel in a smooth and easy way.

Overnight in Cairo

You will be taken to Cairo International Airport so you can board your flight to Aswan.

When you arrive in Aswan, your tour guide will meet you. They will stay with you as you board your 5-star Nile cruise boat. Lunch will be served after you settle in.

Later, you will travel to see the Aswan High Dam. It is one of the biggest projects in Egypt’s modern history. It was built in the 1960s to reduce the severe flooding that happened each year.

During your stops, you can also visit Philae Temple. You will get to see the granite quarries where ancient pharaohs once worked. You will spend time at well known religious sites across the area. This day is meant to be a strong highlight of your trip.

In the evening, you will cruise on the Nile toward Kom Ombo. There will be a show and dinner while you sail.

Stay overnight in Aswan.

You will eat breakfast before you leave for your Kom Ombo trip.  
This day plan brings you to the temple at Kom Ombo, made for the crocodile god Sobek.  

After that, the Nile cruise will head toward Edfu.  
Meals will be served for lunch and dinner while you are on the boat, and you will sleep on board overnight.

After you spend some time looking around, you will return to the Nile cruise ship. Then the boat will sail to the last stop on the Egypt Nile Cruise Tours. That place is Luxor. Lunch will be served on board. In the afternoon, tea will also be available.
