After breakfast, your guide will meet you and lead you on a Cairo ride. We start at the Cairo Citadel. From there, you will visit major landmarks in the city. Along the way, you will learn how Islamic life shaped Cairo over many years.

You will look at the old stone defenses around Cairo, including the Saladin Citadel. Sultan Saladin had it built in the 1100s to guard the city. He also brought in hired soldiers for the Egyptian forces. Over time, they became strong and rich. They won backing from many locals too. Later, Mohamed Ali Basha removed them in a well known event called the Citadel Massacre.

Next, you will visit the alabaster mosque of Mohamed Ali. It sits inside the citadel complex. On a clear day, the view from there is among the best in Cairo.

Would you like to see key places from early Christianity? We can take you to some of the earliest churches found in the world. You will also go to the area linked to the Holy Family during their trip from Herod. In addition, you will see one of the oldest synagogues in the Middle East.

After that, you will have a good lunch. Then you will head to Khan El Khalili market in central Cairo. You will spend some time walking around. Al Hussein was the grandson of the Prophet of Islam, Mohamed (PBUH). This part of Cairo has older mosques from the 9th century. It also has many tombs for close figures tied to Prophet Mohamed. After lunch, you will walk through small lanes. Later, you will return to your hotel.

After breakfast, please leave your hotel to start the adventure. We will drive to the famous Porto Sokhna resort for about 30 minutes to take the cable car (Teleferik) up Mount Galala to enjoy a lunch of fresh seafood in a luxurious restaurant overlooking the Red Sea and the mountain.
