What you will do each step:

Cairo and Giza  
Go to the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. Walk through busy old markets. Take in thousands of years of history in one place.

Fayoum oasis time  
Leave the main routes. Visit Wadi El Rayan and see waterfalls in the desert. Spend time near quiet lakes. Also stop at Wadi Al-Hitan, known for whale fossils.

Nile cruise for families  
Cruise from Luxor to Aswan on a 5-star ship. Enjoy slow river views each day. Tour the Valley of the Kings and see royal tombs. Visit Karnak, Philae, and Edfu temples.

Sharm El-Sheikh on the Red Sea  
Relax on the beach with warm sun and clear water. Try snorkeling over coral reefs. You can also do simple water activities. There is plenty to see under the surface.

Alexandria and the Mediterranean coast  
End the trip on Egypt’s northern coast. Visit Greco-Roman sites. Enjoy the seaside walkways and the city’s history. Feel the classic “library” mood that Alexandria is known for.

Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival to Cairo and check-in

When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, someone from New Dynamics Travel will meet you inside the terminal. He will hold a sign with your name and the company name.

He will take you to your hotel in a private, air-conditioned car. After you arrive, please register at the front desk.

Our representative will also help you with check-in. Then he will review your Egypt family trip plan with you. He will confirm the pick-up times for each tour and make any needed updates.

Cairo overnight stay.

Day 2:
Giza Pyramids / Egyptian Museum Tour

At dawn, meet our staff at your hotel. We will set out for the Giza Pyramids tour.

First, you will visit the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple. You will face the stone figure linked to King Khafra. Then you will see the three huge pyramids at Giza. They were raised for the Old Kingdom rulers Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus.

While you are in the Giza area, you can also ride camels near the sites. A Bedouin guide will help you, so you can take clear photos.

Next, head to central Cairo. Go to Tahrir Square, then start your private visit to the Egyptian Museum. Your guide will walk you through the museum’s many pieces. The building dates to 1902. Inside, you will find thousands of statues and coffins.

After the museum, you will have lunch at a nearby restaurant.

When the day trips end, we will take you back to the hotel by transfer.

Day 3:
Old Cairo Tours

After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will meet you and collect you for a trip to the oldest parts of Old Cairo.

First, we will go to Old Cairo for a Coptic history tour. You will visit the Hanging Church of the Holy Virgin Mary. It is linked to the early years of Christianity in Egypt. You will also stop at the Cavern Church of Saint Sergius and the Synagogue of Ben Ezra. Ben Ezra is the oldest Jewish place of worship in Egypt.

When the visits end, we will have lunch at a local restaurant. After that, you can browse and shop at Khan El Khalili Market.

Once your Cairo visits are finished, you will be driven back to the hotel by a transfer.

Day 4:
Cairo to Luxor, East Bank of Luxor Tour

On your last day, you will leave your Cairo hotel. A New Dynamics Travel staff member will pick you up and drive you to Cairo International Airport. You will then fly to Luxor. When you arrive, another staff member will meet you and help you get to the pier. From there, you will board your cruise from Luxor to Aswan. Your Nile cruise will run from Luxor to Aswan.

Start your Luxor visit with the Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple. These are among the biggest and most important ancient sites in Egypt. Many kings helped build them over time, including Amenhotep III.

During the trip, enjoy lunch and dinner on board. You will also have time to rest overnight.

Day 5:
West Bank of Luxor / Edfu

Start your day with breakfast aboard your Nile cruise. After that, meet your guide and head out for tours on the West Bank of Luxor. First stop is the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. It is an impressive stone site built during the 18th dynasty by Hatshepsut, a strong and famous queen. Next you will go to the Valley of the Kings. There you can view many rock-cut tombs made for rulers of ancient Egypt. You will also see the Colossi of Memnon.  

Go back to the cruise ship when the day ends. Spend the night on board.

Day 6:
Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples

Start your day with an open buffet breakfast while you are on the Nile River Cruise. After that, get ready, because your Egyptologist guide will bring you to the Edfu temple. The site is in the Ptolemaic style and is known for being well kept. It honors God Horus, who ancient Egyptians believed was a protector of the king.

Back on the ship, you will head to the next stop. Visit the Temple of Kom Ombo. This temple is linked to the crocodile gods Sobek and Haroeris. As the cruise moves toward Aswan, you will have lunch during the trip.

When you reach Aswan, you can relax on board your Nile cruise. Dinner will be served while you watch the Nubian Show. You will stay the night in Aswan.

Day 7:
Aswan Tours

When you reach Aswan and head out to see the Aswan High Dam, start with a solid breakfast on your boat. The dam was made to cut down the dangerous effects of the Nile floods each year.  

After that, you will go by boat to the Temple of Philae. The temple honors the goddess Isis and sits on an island.  

Next, you can visit the Unfinished Obelisk. It was likely started by Queen Hatshepsut. It is the biggest known obelisk found in the Aswan granite quarries, besides the one built after it.  

When the Aswan sights are done, your guide will take you back to your cruise ship.  

Have your meals and settle in for the night on board.

Day 8:
Disembarkation & Back to Cairo

You get a great chance to reach Abu Simbel by road or by plane early in the morning. Abu Simbel is the stunning temple built by Ramses II. (Selective Activity)

Your guide will bring you to Aswan Airport. Then you fly back to Cairo on the last day of your Nile cruise. You will have a nice breakfast first. After that, you check out from the cruise ship.

Once you land, you will use your own private transfer. This will take you to where you will stay in Cairo.

Stay the night in Cairo.

Day 9:
Arrive at El-Fayoum

Your guide will meet you at your place in Cairo. We will drive over 90 kilometers to El Fayoum. You will spend the day at some famous sites in the area.

First, we go from Cairo to El Fayoum to see Karanis. It is one of the biggest Greco-Roman ruins. Karanis was built in the third century BC during the time of Ptolemy II.

Next, you will visit the Pyramid of Hawara. This is one of El Fayoum’s most striking monuments. It was ordered by Amenemhat III. He was a pharaoh of the 12th dynasty, dated to 1814 BC to 1860 BC. Many people link his reign to the Middle Kingdom’s high point, roughly 2055 BC to 1650 BC.

After that, stop to see the water wheels in Al Fayoum. They supported local farming. Because of that, they mattered for the area’s economy. Today, the official sign of the El Fayoum governorate shows these water wheels.

Then, you will head to Wadi Al Rayan. You can view the falls there. You will also visit Lake Qarun. It is a well known natural lake with a long history. Many travelers enjoy bird watching, fishing, and water activities here.

Later in the day, we will return you to your home in Cairo.

Day 10:
Fly to Sharm El Sheikh

Have a nice breakfast at the hotel. After that, a New Dynamics Travel staff member will take you to the domestic terminal at Cairo International Airport. You will then board your flight to Sharm El-Sheikh.

When you arrive at Sharm Airport, you will be met and helped right away. Next, you will be driven to your hotel. Once you settle in, you can spend time away from the busy areas and relax on the beach.

Day 11:
Free Day at Leisure in Sharm El Sheikh

Have your full breakfast at the hotel. Today is for taking it easy on the beaches in Sharm, and the views really are something.  

You can get in the water for a swim. If you want more, try scuba diving or snorkelling. There are other water activities too, if you feel like it.  

Go to Ras Mohamed by boat. This includes an optional snorkelling trip, so you can look at the clear Red Sea and spot different fish and coral reef life.  

Sleep in Sharm tonight.

Day 12:
Sharm El-Sheikh optional tour

In Sharm El Sheikh, you can ride a camel and try quad biking. You will go across the dunes. You will also pass the rocky slopes in the Sinai area. It is done while you are on a quad bike, with great views all around.

You can also book a trip on a glass boat. You will see colorful fish under the water. You will get a clear look at the underwater world.

Day 13:
Fly to Cairo

On your last day in Sharm, you will be taken by private car to the airport for your flight to Cairo. After you arrive, you will check into your hotel. Then you can rest for the rest of the day and spend the night in Cairo.

Day 14:
Alexandria Day Trip from Cairo

You will begin your trip from Cairo to Alexandria with your licensed Egyptologist.  

In Alexandria, you will see the city that was built in 332 B.C. by Alexander the Great, the Macedonian leader. Alexandria also served as Egypt’s main city for about one thousand years.  

Next, you will go to the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. This is an old underground site with three levels. Inside, the walls show a blend of Pharaonic and Greco-Roman designs.  

Before that, you will stop at Pompey’s Pillar. It sits inside the ruined Serapeum in Alexandria.  

Afterward, you will travel to the Citadel of Qaitbay. It was built using parts of the old Lighthouse of Pharos.  

On the way to the restaurant with a view of the water, you will also pass the Bibliotheca of Alexandria.  

You will have a seafood lunch there.  

For the night, you will head back to Cairo in the same car.

Day 15:
Final Departure

Have your last breakfast with us. After that, you will head to Cairo airport before your flight home. You will travel in your own air-conditioned vehicle. Your tour guide, picked by our team, will accompany you during the transfer. We hope you enjoyed your time in Egypt.
