Plan an 8-day trip made for families in Egypt. You will see many parts of the country in one route. You will start in Cairo, then move toward the sea in Alexandria, and finish near the Sinai lands.
In Cairo, you will visit the Giza area. You will get to see the big pyramids and the Great Sphinx. You will go with guides who know the local story and can explain what you are seeing.
Next you will travel to Alexandria. This city sits on the Mediterranean coast. You will see the Qaitbay Citadel, a strong sea-side fort. Along the way, you will notice how daily life mixes with old places and coastal views.
Then you will head into Sinai. This region has old Christian sites that many visitors come to see. You will stop at St. Catherine’s Monastery near Mount Sinai. You will also visit the Monasteries of St. Mark and Anba Bishoy.
Your trip in Egypt begins the moment you land at Cairo International Airport. A New Dynamics Travel staff member will meet you outside the arrivals area. They will be holding a sign with your name.
You will get help right away with the next steps after arrival. Then you will be taken to a private car with air conditioning. From there, you will ride straight to your hotel in Cairo.
After you reach the hotel, the tour guide assists you with check-in. They also make sure your room and plans are ready for you. Later, you will receive a clear rundown of your Egypt tour. It covers what you will do each day and when you will head out. This way, you can travel with less worry and a calmer start.
You will meet your tour guide after breakfast at the hotel. Then you will ride in a small, cool vehicle with air-conditioning for the start of the day.
Our first visit will be to the Pyramids of Giza. We will also stop at the Great Sphinx. These are among the famous Seven Wonders of the World.
You will get a clear view of a large statue shaped like a lion. It has the head of a pharaoh. It is meant to show the power and wise rule of the leader.
Next, we will go to the new Grand Egyptian Museum, also called the GEM. There you will see notable and well-known artifacts. You will also feel like you have stepped back to learn how the pharaohs lived.
You will look at items linked to King Tutankhamun. You will also see pieces connected to other kings and queens that came after him. Many of these objects are known around the world.
After the museum, we will have lunch at a casual place nearby.
Once lunch is done, you will return to your Cairo hotel.
A driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo after breakfast. From there, you will head toward the Cave Church. It is one of the most important churches in Egypt. It is also tied to the monastery of St. Simon Tanner, and the beliefs there left an impact on you.
You will travel to a spot in the Mokattam Mountain area, to the southeast of Cairo. People say there was a paranormal event there. The church is inside the mountain, and you must go through the cut section to reach it. After that, you will have lunch. Later, your own driver and a guide will help you see Coptic Cairo.
You will visit the Hanging Church, which dates back to the 3rd century. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. You will also see the remains of the ancient Roman citadel of Babylon.
Next is the Ben Ezra Synagogue in Coptic Cairo. Many believe it may be the site of the Pharaoh’s palace connected to the Prophet Moses, peace be upon him. You will also look at the Church of Mar. This church is linked to the cave where the Holy Family resides. All of this relates to what is found on the two main towers of the castle. In ancient Egyptian times, the horn material was taken from the Nile River.
When your visit ends, you will be taken back to your accommodation.
Someone will meet you at your hotel in Cairo after breakfast. Then you will head out for the Wadi El-Natrun monasteries. They sit on the road between Cairo and Alexandria. Long ago, the monks used that area as a final shield against Berbers and Bedouins.
Next you will travel to Alexandria. You can check into your hotel there. After that, the rest of the evening is yours to spend as you like.
Eat breakfast where you are staying, early in the morning.
After that, your driver or auto guide will meet you on site. Then the day starts with a quick stop. Next, you will head to the Monastery of St. Mark. It is an Alexandrian church, named after Mark, who is seen as the founder of the Coptic Orthodox Church.
From there, you will go to the Kom El Shoqafa tombs. These are to the west of Alexandria, in the Karmouz area. The site also has Roman-era graves.
Later, you will eat a seafood meal at a nearby restaurant.
After lunch, you will visit the Qaitbay Citadel. It is well known in Alexandria. The citadel is over 500 years old and sits at the far western end of Pharos Island.
When the tour ends, you will be taken back to your Cairo hotel.
At first light, a driver from your tour will pick you up at your hotel in Cairo. This happens after breakfast.
Next, we head to Sinai. Your first stop is Nabi Musa and the 12 springs. The site is famous with visitors. The weather there is mild in winter and much warmer in summer. The spring water can be drunk. After that, Saint Catherine will be part of what you see.
Later, you will visit a well known monastery in Egypt.
Then you will be taken to a place for lunch. After lunch, you will return to your hotel for the night.
After breakfast at your hotel, get ready early. You will have a full day ahead.
On your seventh day, you will go up Mount Sinai. This is the day said in the Torah, the Bible, and the Qur'an. It is also the day you will be given the Ten Commandments.
Later that day, we will return to Cairo. You will travel back with your own guide.
