Egypt Family Easter Vacation 13 days

Your guide will meet you at Cairo International Airport. He will assist you with papers and with your bags in the pickup area. Then you will ride to your Swiss Inn hotel in Cairo.

Many travelers around the world want to see the Pyramids. You can make that happen with this tour. Listen closely when your guide talks about the Pharaohs and the myths of ancient Egypt. She will also explain gods and goddesses, plus the way people handled mummification. Your Egyptologist guide will gladly respond to your questions. She will share details about the pyramids and the stories that surround them. You will have time to go into the chambers and to see the Sun Boat Museum. You can also visit the Valley Temple and the Sphinx. Just follow your guide’s directions. After that, you will keep going with a visit to the Egyptian Museum.

The art displays are well known and cover a wide range. A major highlight is what was found in King Tut Ankh Amun’s tomb. First, you will enter the royal mummy chamber. Your private live guide will explain the key points first. Then you will have time to look around on your own. The chamber contains the mummies of well known Egyptian kings and queens.

After lunch at a local restaurant, you will go back to the hotel.

On our day you will be picked up from your accommodation in Giza or Cairo at 6 a.m. We will then drive to our destination, Bahariya Oasis, which is around 350 kilometers east of Cairo. When people from Bahariya wanted to travel to the Nile valley in the past they frequently waited until a caravan was coming by.

During the journey there will be two opportunities for coffee breaks.

It is useless for visitors as the Bahariya Oasis is Egypts supply of iron ore as you can see from the rails on your right that convey the iron ore reserves to the steel factory at Helwan. There are four locations called Managim where iron ore may be found. It comes from middle Eocene limestone. When you get to Bahariya Oasis at 10:00 you'll meet your guide get in your 4x4 Jeep and start your journey. Go by car to the desert. Its mountains, hills and dunes are all covered with a layer of black powder hence the name. Some mountains peaks are covered with this powder.

At 12:00 the lunch will be given in El Haize oasis, which's 37 kilometers from Bawiti and is sometimes referred to as a different oasis. The area was quite prosperous during the era and many of the present families are descended from Libya. You may relax before lunch by soaking in a spring, which will almost immediately lower your stress levels. Relaxation brought on by the heat fosters a at-ease and tranquil state of mind. There is a museum called the "Water Museum" that was constructed to educate visitors about the value of subterranean water for desert dwellers as well as the tools the Egyptians used to raise water for agriculture.

At 13:00 drive to the Agabat Valley.

At 7:00 am, breakfast will be served in the open air, with the desert around you. After that, you will head toward Bahariya Oasis.  

On the return trip, you will pause at Crystal Mountain at 9:00. People also call it Gebel al-Izzaz. The quartzite rocks in the hill are on the right side, and that is why it is called “the Jewel of the Desert.” Sunlight makes it look even more striking. This feature was found by chance only a few decades ago.  

Then at 11:00, you will drive on to Bahariya Oasis. You can relax at Bir Sigam, a hot spring. It is known for its heat, and it sits on Cairo Road about 7 km east of Bahariya.  

In the summer, there will be a stop at Bir Madi, which is a cold spring.  

After 12:00, the drive back to Cairo starts by car. You are due to arrive in Cairo at 16:30.  

If you want more to see, you can take an extra visit to the Alexander the Great Temple. You can also go to the museum with the golden mummies and see the Bawiti tombs to learn more about the Bahariya Oasis history.  

During the day you will also pass Gebel Maghrafa, along with palm and olive groves, and Bahariya Oasis itself. In 1914, at the base of Gebel Dist, the biggest Diansour, known as Stromer’s Tidal Giant, was discovered.  

Lake al-Marun is the largest salt lake in the oasis. You can watch the sunset from the top of English Mountain, also called Gebel Al Ingleez. From the summit, you can see a wide view of the northern area of the oasis. The road to Cairo follows afterward.

A representative will meet you at your Cairo hotel and take you to El Fayoum. We can plan a day trip, or you can choose an overnight option. This way you can explore the Fayoum Oasis at a slower pace.

El Fayoum sits under 100 kilometers from Cairo. It is known for its plants and wildlife, and also for its historic sites. Many travelers call it one of Egypt’s most beautiful and productive places. The Egyptian Government has protected two main areas here. Those are Lake Qarun and Wadi Rayan National Parks.

The region is organized into six administrative centers. The main towns are Madinat al-Fayoum, Tamiya, Sinnuris, Ibshawai, Yusuf al Siddiq, and Its. There are around 157 villages and 1565 hamlets. People living in the area number more than 3 million. The total land area is 4678 sq. Km. The cultivated area is 1437 sq. Km.

After the tours, we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Then we will take you back to your Cairo hotel.

Our air-conditioned car will be waiting for you outside the hotel. The air-conditioned car will take you from your Cairo hotel to the Lex Sheraton El Montazah hotel.

After you check in we begin the tour with a photo stop at Qaitbeys Citadel. Qaitbeys Citadel is recognised as one of the important defensive strongholds along the Mediterranean Sea coast and in Egypt. In the 15th century A.D. Qaitbeys Citadel played a role in Alexandrias defence system. Qaitbeys Citadel is located not far from the entrance to the harbour at the easternmost point of Pharos Island. On that spot where the renowned Lighthouse of Alexandria one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World formerly stood Qaitbeys Citadel was built.

You may then explore the Montazah Royal Palaces and Gardens. The Montazah Royal Palaces and Gardens belong to Mohamed Ali Pashas dynasty from Khedive Abbas Helmy II to King Farouk I.

The Montazah Royal Palaces and Gardens will be visited after passing Stanley Bridge, one of Alexandrias stunning new structures on the way to the gardens. The Montazah Royal Palaces and Gardens are 3000 metres wide. Are home to many trees and plants some of which are quite uncommon.

Despite being planted than 75 years ago many tropical plants in the Montazah Royal Palaces and Gardens are still in outstanding condition.

Our excellent journey will end at the Modern Alexandria Library. The Modern Alexandria Library has free exhibits and an open court. The Old Library was famous worldwide for its book collection, which included literature and science works. The Old Library sustained wounds during the Greco–Roman era before it closed. The librarys reconstruction project began in the 1980s. The current Alexandrian library has six ground floors and four underground levels. The unusual shape of the Modern Alexandria Library is an architectural trait.

After this tour of Alexandria, the air-conditioned car will pick you up and drive you back, to your accommodation.

Pompei's Pillar sits inside the Serapis temple. This site was for Serapis, described as the main god of Alexandria during the Ptolemaic rule.  

After breakfast, your Tour Guide will meet you. Then you will ride there in an air-conditioned car.  

The pillar was made under the Roman Empire. It is part of a large memorial column in Egypt. It was built in honor of Emperor Diocletian.  

Next is Abu Al-Abbas Al-Mursi. This is the largest mosque in Alexandria. It has a tall, decorated minaret. You can also see arabesque-style carving. There are four big domes. The front is a light cream color.  

The mosque is in the Anfoushi area. It is not far from the Citadel of Qaitbay.  

After that comes the Roman Amphitheatre, also called Kom el-Dikka. It is the final stop on the Alexandria part of the trip.  

The theatre and an attached residential area sit in the center of the city. The Roman amphitheatre left in Egypt is said to have thirteen terraces. It also remains in very good shape. The design follows the classical Greek style.  

Walk through the older streets of Alexandria. You will be able to see modern landmarks too. Examples include the Alexander the Great monument. You can also see the Alexandrian Unknown Soldier.  

When the tour ends, your Tour Guide will drive you back to your place to stay.

Meet your tour guide after breakfast, then travel to El-Alamein. Start by visiting the El Alamein War Museum to learn everything there is to know about the tragic Western Desert operations. In a modern, air-conditioned car, our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Marsa Matrouh and transport you to Siwa, where you will check in and spend the night at the Siwa Tazeri hotel.

Explore the Old City of Siwa after breakfast ( Shali). The Alexander Temple, which is devoted to the God Amon-26 Dynasty, is located in Aghurmi Village and may be seen after visiting Um Ubeyda to see the Amun Ra Temple. next proceed to Cleopatra Spring (Ei Guba). Finish your holiday by going to the Siwa House Museum. The mesmerising sunset views that are referenced in many travel guides may be seen on Fitnas Island in the afternoon. Stay the night in Siwa.

We leave for Maraki Village after breakfast to start our trek over the Siwa Desert. Cross the desert to Great Siwa Mountain for a breathtaking archaeological landmark, where the first human imprint on the mountain dates back to antiquity. We will continue along the dunes on our safari expedition until we arrive at the fossil region, where we will see the stony coral reefs from the Cambrian era. Then, proceed to Shaiata Lake, one of the spring-fed lakes in the desert, where you may see Flamenco birds, have a calming springtime bath, and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. There is yet another chance to delight in desert sand surfing. After that, we'll visit (Bir Wahid) spring, another hot spring, to relax.

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the tombs atop the Mountain of the Dead (Gabal El Maouta). There are a number of intriguing tombs there, such as those of MSW Isis, SI Amon, and the Crocodile Tomb. You may proceed to the Dakrour Mountains after viewing the Roman Spring Eye and Abu Sherouf, one of the Siwan Villages. You may see Bedouin culture there. into your hotel room.
We have dinner and spend the night in Siwa.

Your tour guide will transport you to your Alexandria hotel for the night after breakfast. The Alexandria Museum, the first museum in the nation and home to more than 200,000 objects, will be our next stop. Then, after stopping for lunch at a close-by restaurant, we'll go to Alexandria's The Jewelry Museum, which has a collection of more than 30,000 pieces of jewellery.
