6 Days Cairo, Alexandria, Ismalia, and EL Alamein During Easter

When you land in Egypt, your New Travel Dynamics guide will wait for you at Cairo International Airport. He will hold a card with your name on it. Next, you will go to your hotel in a clean, modern air-conditioned vehicle.

Enjoy a tasty breakfast at your hotel in Cairo. Then you will meet your tour guide and begin your day.

First, visit the Giza Pyramids. You will see massive buildings linked to the great rulers of Egypt in the 4th dynasty: Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus. People often say the layout follows a pattern of stars. They also believe the main entrance faces north, so these places could work as burial tombs for the royal rulers. The largest pyramid is for King Cheops. Your guide will explain the reasons and the methods behind the work on the Great Pyramids.

Next, go to the area that once served as Egypt’s capital. It was the home of the king and also the main political and administrative hub for about one thousand years. It later became a major place for worship and learning across three thousand years of ancient Egyptian life after Upper and Lower Egypt were joined. While you are there, you will visit the large statue of Ramesses II, known as one of the most important and strong kings in Egyptian history. You will also explore the open-air museum, where you can view many statues and other objects from the city. After that, have a nice lunch, then return to your hotel.

After lunch, eat at a solid quality restaurant. Next, transfer to Memphis, also called Mit Rahina. Visit the open-air museum and see its standout artifacts. Pay special attention to the alabaster sphinx of Memphis. You will also see the large statue of Ramses II. He was a New Kingdom ruler, the one connected to the Abu Simbel Temples in Aswan.

Once you finish breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your place in Cairo. From there, you will head to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, also known as NMEC.  

At the museum, you will see many old items from different periods. There are carved statues, wall works, handmade pottery, and pieces of jewelry. The collection covers a wide span, starting in prehistoric times and moving up to later ages.  

A highlight is the Royal Mummies Hall. Here, you can view preserved bodies of several royal figures. This includes pharaohs and queens from the New Kingdom. Ramses II and Hatshepsut are among those featured.  

You will also find hands-on displays and media presentations. There are learning activities too, meant to help you understand Egypt’s past and daily culture. The visit feels lively, not stiff or rushed.  

The site also has practical places for guests. You can stop by the gift shop, eat at the restaurant, or use the conference facilities.  

After the tour, you will be brought back to your hotel in Cairo.

You will meet at the hotel to keep going with your Egypt Travel Packages. After that, you will travel from Cairo to Alexandria. We will arrange a modern air conditioned car for you. Our tour guide will be with you.

Alexandria was founded in 332 B.C. by Alexander the Great. He is known as a major leader from the ancient Greek world. He built one of the largest empires of that time. The city later became the capital of Egypt. This lasted for nearly 1000 years. It continued until the Arab conquest in the 7th century. After that period, Alexandria stayed one of the top cities. It was the second biggest and among the most important places after Cairo.

On the third day, you will be picked up from the hotel and taken to Alexandria. The goal is to see the history and local culture. You will tour sites such as Kom Ash Shoqafa. You will also see Pompey's Pillar. Another stop is Bibliotheca Alexandria. You will visit the Citadel of Qaitbay too. You will end with a visit to Sidi Morsi Abu al-Abbas Mosque.

You will also get time to enjoy Egyptian food. You can walk near the beaches. You can also stroll along the waterfront promenades. At the end of the day, you will stay at Paradise Inn Hotel.

El Alamein is best known for its past. There are museums, memorials, and cemeteries tied to the fights that took place there. One key stop is the El Alamein War Museum. Inside, you can see relics, photos, and stories from people who were there. (Optional activity)

You can also visit the Commonwealth War Cemetery. It feels quiet, but it is also very moving. It holds more than 7,000 graves of soldiers who died during the battles. Not far away is the German War Cemetery too. That site helps visitors remember the other side of the conflict.

There is more than history in El Alamein. The coast looks great, with beaches and places to stay. So it works even if you do not care much about wars. You can relax and enjoy the Mediterranean views. Still, if you like history, especially World War II, this area can feel truly engaging.

After enjoying your tasty breakfast at your hotel, you will be driven to Cairo International Airport to catch your flight to fly back home.
