10 Days Egypt Easter Tour Package

A representative from New Travel Dynamics will meet you at Cairo International Airport. He will hold a board with your name on it. He will help you right away as your trip in Egypt starts.

After that, you will ride to your hotel in a private car. The car will be non-smoking and air-conditioned.

When you reach the hotel, your tour leader will guide you through check-in. He will go over your Egypt travel package schedule with you. This will help you confirm the pick-up times for each tour. While this is happening, a welcome drink will be served.

Overnight in Cairo

After breakfast, meet your tour guide in the hotel lobby. Then your Cairo day trip will begin. You will go to Giza, Memphis, and Saqqara.

Your private guide and driver will take you to see the Great Pyramid of Cheops. You will also visit the pyramids of Chephren and Mycerinus from the 4th dynasty in the Old Kingdom. After that, you will stop at the Great Sphinx. It has the head of a pharaoh and the body of a lion. You will then visit the Valley Temple of King Chephren.

If you want a different moment in Giza, you may take a camel ride for 15 minutes. This is optional.

Next, you will continue to impressive sites in Saqqara. You will see the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, the Djoser Pyramid, and the Teti Pyramid. You will also visit the tombs of the nobles. The walls and hallways still show paintings from ancient Egypt, just like people saw them long ago.

For lunch, you will eat at a local restaurant. After lunch, you will drive to Memphis. The open air museum is about 20 minutes from Saqqara. Inside, you will find many statues and artifacts from ancient Egypt. You can see the alabaster sphinx made from an eighty ton block of marble. You can also see the huge fallen statue of Ramses II.

When your day trip ends, you will be driven back to your hotel.

Your New Travel Dynamics Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel. Then you will start the trip to the new Grand Egyptian Museum, also known as the GEM.

The GEM is among the biggest museums worldwide. It holds a large set of ancient finds from Egypt.

Next, you will go to the GEM. You will see Egypt’s past in the displays. More than 160,000 items of ancient Egyptian artifacts are shown there. Your Egyptologist will guide you through the main sections. You will also hear about King Tutankhamen’s treasures. These were the only royal goods found in one piece. They include many gold pieces and jewelry. They stayed under sand for over three thousand years until the tomb was uncovered in 1922.

After the museum, you will visit the Citadel of Saladin. You will also stop at the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali. This mosque is a well known example of Ottoman style in Cairo. Its plan follows the famous Blue Mosque in Istanbul. The Citadel is often seen as a key point of Egyptian rule. It was set up by Saladin. Later it remained important into the time of King Farouk in the early part of the last century.

The day ends with tea at Fishawy’s oldest cafe. It is in Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar.

We will pick you up and take you to Cairo International Airport. From there, you will board your domestic flight to Luxor, Egypt.

When you reach Luxor, we will transfer you to your Nile Cruise. This is how you will experience the river and see its historic sites. After you check in and rest in your cabin, lunch will be served on the boat. Later, you will tour Luxor and visit the main sights.

First on your Luxor day is Karnak Temple. These temples were built over many centuries. They feel like a living display of ancient Egyptian art. They also show the strength and achievements of a past age. After that, you will go to the Temple of Luxor.

Then you will return to the cruise. You can slow down, relax, and enjoy a quiet evening. Dinner will be served at the restaurant on board. You will spend the first night of your Nile River Cruise with a calm pace and an easy mind.

A sound and light show at Karnak Temple can be arranged as an extra option.

Day 5 starts with breakfast first. After that, the Luxor West Bank Tours will begin.

Today we leave the boat to see two well known places in Egypt. You will visit the tombs of New Kingdom pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings. You will also go to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, also called Deir el-Bahari.

Back on the cruise, you will have lunch. The ship then sails toward Esna to pass through the lock.

Later, you can enjoy tea while watching the Nile Valley sights from the top deck. When we arrive in Edfu, dinner will be served on board. You will stay overnight there, with a belly dancing and music show on the calm water of the Nile.

You will start the day with a tasty breakfast buffet. After that, the boat will make a stop in Edfu. You will ride a horse carriage to see the Temple of Edfu. This temple is well known for its link to Horus, the falcon god.

Once the tour ends, you will head back to the boat. Then you will sail down the Nile toward Kom Ombo. When you arrive, you will step off the boat for a special visit to the Kom Ombo temples. These temples were made to honor two major gods in Egypt. One is the crocodile god Sobek. The other is a form of Horus that was worshipped in Kom Ombo and is called Horaeris.

Later, you will return to the cruise ship. The ship will continue on toward Aswan. You will have tea during the journey. Dinner will be served in the evening. You can then relax and sleep well for another night on the Nile.

Have breakfast while you are on the cruise, then start your Aswan day trip. We will meet you and move you to the High Dam. After that, you will visit the Unfinished Obelisk. This is the largest obelisk in Egypt that was left not finished, found in the granite yards in Aswan.

Next, we go back to the Nile cruise. Lunch is served onboard. As you eat, you can watch the Nile glide by. You can also see the islands that are protected, and you may spot many birds in the sky above the town. Later, take a break with tea on the wide top deck.

The rest of the day gives you several options. You can lie in the sun on the upper deck. If you prefer, you can swim in the pool. You can also rest in your cabin. If you want, visit the spa on the boat for a massage. If you like, we can arrange extra tours and activities as well.

In the evening, dinner will be served onboard. This will be your last night during the cruise in Aswan.

You may add a trip to the sound and light show at Philae Temple.

Your breakfast will be served on the Nile Cruise boat. After the meal, you will get off the cruise ship. Then a modern vehicle will take you to Aswan Airport for your flight back to Cairo.

When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, someone from our team will meet you. They will help you and then take you to your hotel for the night.

You can take the day off to rest and feel refreshed. If you prefer, you may join optional tours to Alexandria from Cairo. Alexandria is known as one of the most scenic places on the Mediterranean, with deep history.  

You will see the Qaitbay Citadel. It was built in the 15th century AD. The area also has Greco Roman sites. For example, you can visit the Roman Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa and Pompey’s Pillar.
