12 Days Cairo, The Nile and Hurghada During Easter

When you land at Cairo International Airport, a New Travel Dynamics guide will meet you and help you right away. The guide speaks English. They will drive you to your hotel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle.

At the hotel, you will get a welcome drink. Your guide will help with a quick check-in. They will also go over your Egypt Travel Packages with you.

After that, you will spend the night. In the morning, you will be ready for an early trip to see the Pyramids of Egypt.

You will have breakfast first. After that, a member of our team will meet you in the hotel lobby. Then you will head out on your Cairo day tour. You will visit the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx. The Sphinx is said to look like King Chephren. He is linked to the middle pyramid.

The Pyramids are part of the Seven Wonders of the World. Seeing them up close can feel thrilling. You will also learn about the pharaohs Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus. These figures lived long ago. Their legacy is still there in the stones.

For lunch, you will eat at a local restaurant. You will stay overnight at your hotel in Cairo.

After breakfast, a driver will meet you and take you to Alexandria in a deluxe, air-conditioned vehicle. The ride takes about two hours.

In Alexandria, you will see sites from the Greco-Roman period. You will also visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shouqafa. Next, you will explore the Roman temple complex ruins. After that, you will stop at Pompey's pillar. You will then visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, which is one of the best places to visit on our Alexandria Shore Excursions. This area is also where the famous lighthouse Pharos once stood. It is known as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Later, you will visit the modern Bibliotheca of Alexandria.

For lunch, you will eat at a fresh seafood restaurant with high-quality food.

At the end of the day, you will go back to your hotel in Alexandria for an overnight stay.

Your New Travel Dynamics guide will pick you up and take you to Cairo by car or van after breakfast.

You will tour the New Grand Egyptian Museum, often called GEM. You will look at the major Egyptian antiquities display. You will also see the well kept royal collection linked with the golden pharaoh Tutankhamen.

Once the museum visit ends, you will have lunch at a local place to eat, then you will board the train for Aswan. You will stay overnight in your own cabin.

Your guide will meet you at the train station in Aswan and greet you there. We will head out for your Aswan day tours and spend the day at standout places.

First, you will see the Aswan High Dam. It is a major work of engineering. It helped protect Egypt from frequent flood damage. You will have time to view the dam up close and understand how it changed events in Egyptian history.

Next, you will visit Philae Temple. Look at the old stones and the carved writing. These works have lasted for thousands of years. They help describe an ancient culture within Nubian monuments.

When the day ends, we will take you back to your hotel in Aswan. You can check in and rest for the night.

After breakfast, you will visit the Abu Simbel Temples and enjoy the day. The two temples were cut from the side of a mountain in the 13th century B.C. Later, in the 19th dynasty, under Pharaoh Ramesses II, the site took its well known form. The temples honor the king and his wife, Queen Nefertari. To mark his win at the Battle of Kadesh, the big carved figures outside the temples became famous.  

Then you will return to your hotel in Aswan for the night.

Eat breakfast at your hotel in Aswan. Then you go by car to Luxor. In Luxor, join day tours and visit the Temple of Luxor. This temple was started under King Amenhotep III in the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom. It was later finished during the 19th Dynasty under Ramesses II.

After the tours, you will be taken back to your hotel in Luxor. Spend the night there.

Today you will go to Karnak Temple. It is often called the largest temple complex in the world. It is also one of the best known sites from Egypt’s past. The temple honors the god Amun. It also honors Mut, who is often named as his wife. Their son, Khonsu, is part of the same worship.

Karnak was built over a very long span of time. Work started in the Middle Kingdom. Later rulers kept adding to it. This continued into the Graeco-Roman era. Many Egyptian kings contributed to the growth of the site.

Next, you will visit places on the west bank of the Nile. You will see the Hatshepsut Temple at Deir Al-Bahary. You will also visit the Valley of the Kings. After that, you will view the Colossi of Memnon.

Then you will travel to Hurghada by land. The drive will take about three hours. You will spend the night at your Hurghada hotel.

Have breakfast, then set off on a two hour ride in the Sindbad Submarine. From inside, you will see marine life and bright fish in the Red Sea.  

The boat can take up to 44 guests at a time. Two captains will guide the journey under the water. The ride goes down to about 22 meters below sea level.  

You do not need scuba skills for this trip. It is open to most people. After the ride ends, you will be taken back to your hotel in Hurghada.

Have breakfast at the hotel. After that, you can do what you like. If you want, you can also join one of our day trips from Hurghada and take part in an excursion.

After breakfast, you will go to Hurghada Airport. From there, you will fly to Cairo International Airport.

Once you arrive, the rest of the day is yours. You may also pick an activity. You can join a shopping trip to Khan El Khalili Grand Bazaar, one of the oldest markets in the Middle East. Another choice is a guided Coptic Cairo tour. If you prefer a calm evening, you can dine at a floating restaurant. You will also watch an entertainment show during dinner.

You will stay overnight in a Cairo hotel.
