Take breakfast at the hotel in Cairo. Then meet your tour guide to begin your Cairo day tour.

First, you will see the Great Pyramid of Cheops. It is part of the Giza pyramid group. The builders finished it close to 2560 BCE. This pyramid is among the biggest and most striking in the area. You will also notice the nearby Pyramids of Chefren and Mykerinus. Do not forget the Great Sphinx, which watches over the site.

Next, you will head to Saqqara. There, you will visit the Step Pyramid Complex. It was built for King Djoser. The work is credited to Imhotep. Many people call it the oldest stone structure in the world. You will also visit the pyramid of Teti inside the area. Then you will explore the tombs of nobles at Sakkara. The walls and corridor scenes show daily life in ancient Egypt. You can see that life through painted and carved details from about 4000 years ago.

At midday, stop for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, travel to Memphis. You will visit the open air museum there.

Later, you will be driven back to the hotel. Overnight will be at the hotel.

Start your Egypt Day Tours with breakfast at the hotel in Cairo, as you normally would. Your Egyptologist will be with you. First, you will go to the Grand Egyptian Museum. It holds a very large collection of Egyptian antiques from around the world. You will also hear about the royal treasures, including the Treasures of the golden Tutankhamen, which were found intact.

Next, your guide and driver will take you to the Citadel of Saladin. Inside, you will visit the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. From there, you will look out over Islamic Cairo. You can see mosques, minarets, and domes. Many are centuries old, and some are older than a thousand years.

After that, you will move to Coptic Cairo. You will visit the Roman fortress of Babylon. You will also see the Hanging Church and the church of St Sergius. Then you will go to the Ben Ezra Synagogue. People say it is linked to the pharaoh’s palace area, where the basket of Moses is said to have been found near the Nile.

After lunch, you will explore more of Islamic Cairo. You will walk around the walls and gates of this medieval city. You will also stroll through older streets that date back to the 10th century. When you are done, the walk ends with tea at Fishawy. This is a well known historic cafe in Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar.

Finally, return to the hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

After breakfast at the hotel, you have the last day of your Egypt Easter holidays to unwind. You will have some free time to relax.  

Later, our representative will meet you and transfer you to Cairo International Airport for your final departure.
