7 Days Cairo and Mount Sinai vacation

When you land in Egypt, we will meet you at Cairo International Airport. From there, we will assist you and then drive you to your Cairo hotel in an air-conditioned car.

A staff member will guide you through the check-in process. They will also go over your plan with you to confirm the pickup times. Right after you arrive, you will be offered a welcome drink.

Have breakfast at the hotel.

Next, a driver will take you to your first stop on the plan. You will go to the Necropolis of Giza. You will hear about the long history of ancient Egypt.

The Egypt Easter tour starts at the Giza Pyramids. There you can see the Valley Temple, the Great Sphinx, and the three main pyramids. After that, you will head to the Memphis area.

At Memphis, you will visit an open-air site. You can walk around the present Mit-Rahina village. The area shows items tied to the Alabaster Sphinx of Memphis. You will also see finds from Mit-Rahina, including objects and sarcophagi from the time when Memphis was located there. This also includes the tomb of Ramses II.

Later, you will stop for lunch at a local place close by.

In the end, you will go to the Sakkara Pyramid. After the visit, you will be brought back to your hotel.

We will pick you up at your place in Cairo and start the Sinai hiking trip. We leave early in the morning, and the drive to Sinai takes about five hours. When we reach the area, we check in at the eco lodge, El Karm Bedouin camp. Then we get ready for the hike. After some downtime, you can check your bags and make sure you are set.

First, we head to Wadi Al Fara. This part has a tough climb up the mountain. After that, the route drops quickly. If needed, there is a simple three kilometer drive off the main road.

Next, we go to the Red Sea mountain area, Jabal Shayeb Al Banat, in the eastern desert of Egypt. The slopes have several deep canyons. You will also see large pieces of volcanic rock along the way. There are many things to do here. People go camping, follow hiking paths, and try rock climbing.

After that, we will take you on Wadi el Nogra. When the day ends, we bring you back to the eco camp at El Karm.

After Bedouin tea, you will be taken to Wadi Tala. When you have finished getting ready for breakfast in camp, follow the directions. To return to St. Katherine, go along the path in front of you. If you want a different way, take the lower route. It goes straight into Wadi Itlah. You will pass through a small opening in a stone retaining wall.

From where you stand, you can see the water curtains after a shower. They fall from the rock face and turn the surface white. They also make a V-shaped dip.

Next, in this part of Sinai, with tall mountains all around, you will visit a Bedouin settlement. You will also see a sheik’s grave. The route links St. Catherine to this area. Because of that, hikers often come here to see different mountain scenes.

After that, you will be brought back to your camp. You can rest there. Then you can eat lunch.

We'll transport you back to Cairo after breakfast at the camp so you may check into a hotel and spend the night there.

You will be taken to Tahrir Square in Cairo. From there, we will go into the Egyptian Museum. You will walk through several rooms and see the items kept inside.

Next, we will leave downtown Cairo. Then we will head to Old Cairo. We will start with Islamic sites. You will visit the Mamluk Mosque, Sultan Hassan's Madrasas, and the mosque of Ibn Tulun. Ibn Tulun's mosque was built long ago, and it is known as the oldest mosque still standing in Africa.

After that, we will drive you to Coptic Cairo. Your walk begins in the Coptic area. You will see the Roman fortress of Babylon, a Roman outpost made under Emperor Trajan. Afterward, you will go to the Hanging Church, built over parts of those ruins.

We will also visit Abu Serga Church. It sits above the Holy Family Cavern. Then you will stop at the Ben Ezra Synagogue in Old Cairo. It is among the oldest synagogues in Cairo, with a notable past. Your guide will share more about Coptic Cairo before you have lunch in Old Cairo.

On the final day of your seven-day tour of Cairo and the Sinai, enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before getting ready to check out. For you to catch your flight back to Cairo International Airport and return to your home country, your tour guide from New Travel Dynamics will pick you up and take you to the airport.
