Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival to Cairo

When you land in Egypt, your New Travel Dynamics guide will meet you at Cairo International Airport. He will be holding a card with your name on it.

After that, your guide and a private driver will take you to your hotel in a nice air-conditioned car. At the hotel, a member of our team will assist you at check-in. They will also go over your Egypt Easter Tours plan with you, so you can confirm the pick-up times for each day. You will also be offered a welcome drink.

You will stay overnight in Cairo.

Day 2:
Giza Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum

After breakfast, you will meet your Egyptologist guide. Then you will head to the Giza Plateau for your tour. There you will see the Great Pyramid of Khufu. You will also visit the Pyramid of Khafre and the Pyramid of Menkaure. Next, you will view the Great Sphinx and hear stories about these sites and ancient Egyptian life.

Later, you will go to the new Grand Egyptian Museum. Inside, you will look through a range of ancient Egyptian artifacts. You will learn more about the pharaohs and their history.

When the tour ends, you will return to your hotel in Cairo. You will stay overnight.

Day 3:
Arrival to Luxor- Luxor excursions

After breakfast, check out of Cairo Pyramids Hotel. Then you are taken to Cairo International Airport. From there, you fly to Luxor. When you arrive, a New Travel Dynamics representative will meet you and help you.

Your guide will then move you from Luxor Airport to your 5-star MS Royal Viking Nile Cruise.

After lunch on the cruise, you start the East Bank tour. You visit Karnak Temple, the biggest man-made temple the world has ever known. Later, you also see the Temple of Luxor at night, when it is beautifully lit.

Your lunch is served onboard the cruise.

Day 4:
West Bank of Luxor/ Edfu

Morning starts with breakfast aboard your Nile cruise.

After that, you will ride across the river to see the Colossi of Memnon. These are the two huge statues tied to Amenhotep III. Next, you will head to the Valley of the Kings. It holds 62 New Kingdom pharaoh tombs. Among them are Tutankhamun and Ramesses II. The tombs were carved into the rock inside the mountains.

Then you will go on to the Pharaohs' palace. It was filled with paintings and other decorations, and it held treasures meant for the afterlife. After you finish there, the tour moves to El Deir El Bahary, also called Hatshepsut's Temple. Hatshepsut is known as the first woman ruler recorded in writing.

Later, after lunch, you will sail toward Edfu. Dinner will be served as you travel. You will spend the night on the Nile cruise.

Day 5:
The temple of Edfu / Kom Ombo

Have breakfast on the Nile cruise. Then our guide will meet you and take you to Edfu. You will see the Ptolemaic Temple of Horus, a well kept place dedicated to the falcon headed god.

Next, the cruise will take you to Kom Ombo. You will visit the Temple of Kom Ombo. The temple layout follows a classic plan, with an entry pylon, a front court, a hall with columns, and other rooms that lead toward the main area. Inside, there is a clear split down the center. This separates two entry points, two front courts, and two sets of colonnaded halls. Each side connects to its own sanctuary. One sanctuary is for Horus. The other is for Sobek.

Lunch will be served on board after the visits. Later, we sail on to Aswan.

Have dinner onboard and stay the night on the Nile cruise.

Day 6:
Aswan tours

Have breakfast while your Nile cruise is underway. Then your Egyptologist guide will meet you and take you to see the High Dam.

The High Dam was built from 1960 to 1971. It was ordered during the time of Egypt’s second president, Gamal Abdel Nasser. After it was completed, Egypt could make more electricity. The floods were also easier to manage. Water could be kept and released later across several years.

Next, you will visit the Philae temple. Many travelers call it one of the nicest temples in Egypt. It honors the goddess Isis. The complex was built on Philae Island. When the High Dam was finished, the area flooded and the island was covered. The temple was later moved to another island called Agilika.

After that, stop at the Unfinished Obelisk. This is the biggest obelisk attempted by the ancient Egyptians in the reign of Queen Hatshepsut. It still stands where it was left, half worked into solid rock. You can find it in the granite quarries near Aswan.

Then you will return to the cruise. Dinner will be served.

Day 7:
Back to Cairo

After breakfast, you will leave your Nile cruise. Your guide will take you to Aswan Airport so you can fly back to Cairo.

When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, your guide will be there to greet you. He will help you through the arrival process. Then you will be taken to your hotel.

You will stay overnight at the hotel in Cairo.

Day 8:
The End of Your Easter Travel Package in Egypt

On the final day of your Egypt trip for Easter, you will have breakfast at the hotel.  

After that, you can either relax with free time or book one of our Cairo day tours.  

Your New Travel Dynamics guide will then bring you to Cairo International Airport.  

From there, you will fly back home.
