Cairo and Nile Cruise tour in Easter

A staff member will meet you at Cairo International Airport, outside the arrivals area. They will have a private car ready. The ride will take you to your hotel in Cairo.

Overnight in Cairo

Welcome drink

After breakfast, you will head out on a Cairo day trip. First stop will be the Giza pyramids.

The Great Pyramid of Cheops and the Pyramid of Chephren stand there, along with the smaller royal pyramid in Giza. They were made for the burial of King Mycerinus. He was one of the last rulers of the fourth dynasty. He governed Egypt before his son, King Shepseskaf.

An Egyptologist specialist will travel with you during the visit. You will hear details about the Sphinx and its story. Next, you will see the Valley Temple. Many people call it the mummification temple of King Chephren. The builders used Aswan granite, and the area was paved with white alabaster.

Later, your tour guide and your driver will take you to the new Grand Egyptian Museum. You will see the treasures connected to Tutankhamun, and you will be impressed.

Then you will return to your hotel for the night.

After checkout, one of our staff will take you by car to Cairo International Airport. The trip takes about an hour from Giza.

You will then board your flight to Aswan. The flight time is around one hour. Once you arrive, you will be greeted and guided to start your Nile Cruise. This cruise is a 5-star experience, running from Aswan to Luxor.

In the afternoon, your guide and driver will meet you. You will go for a Felucca ride on the Nile. The route includes stops around Kitchener's Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Later, you can take part in afternoon tea. You will also have an open-buffet dinner served on the boat. After dinner, you will watch a Nubian folkloric show.

Next, you will visit the Philae Temple. You will learn more about the story of Osiris and Isis in a calm and beautiful setting.

Overnight will be on board the Nile cruise in Aswan.

You will have breakfast on the cruise. After that, you will begin your tour in Aswan. Your stop will be the Aswan High Dam. It is one of the most notable modern projects. It is linked to efforts that help increase Egyptian income. Next, you will visit the Unfinished Obelisk. It is said to have been made by Queen Hatshepsut. People describe it as an important monument.  

Then you will go to the Temple of Philae. There you can see the main temple. It is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Isis, the mother of Horus. At the entrance, you will notice two granite lions. They guard the way in. These lions are from the late Roman era and show Byzantine influence.  

After the sightseeing, you will return to the Nile cruise boat. The boat will sail toward Kom Ombo. During the trip, an open buffet lunch will be served onboard. When you arrive, you will meet your private guide. You will tour the Temple of Kom Ombo. This is a double temple. It was built in the Ptolemaic dynasty. It was dedicated to God Sobek, the crocodile. It was also dedicated to God Horus.  

The cruise boat will then sail to Edfu. During the afternoon, you can enjoy tea while sailing. You will also receive a Captain’s welcome cocktail.  

Dinner will be served aboard the cruise. Later, there will be disco music in the lounge bar. This is for tonight’s entertainment. You will stay overnight on board at Edfu.

You will have breakfast on your boat. After that, your guide will meet you and take you to Edfu for the sightseeing visit at the Temple of Horus. This temple is known for very fine Ptolemaic architecture made for Horus. A large granite statue of Horus stands outside the entrance, and it guards the way in. On its head rests the Double Crown of Upper and Lower Egypt.

Once you finish learning about Edfu, you will return to the Nile Cruise ship. Then the ship will sail onward to Luxor. Lunch will be served on board. Later, afternoon tea will be available.

In the evening, a high-quality dinner is included aboard the ship. After dinner, you can join a traditional Galabya party.

You will stay overnight in Luxor.

On your last morning of the Easter Tours in Egypt, you will have a full schedule. After breakfast on the Nile cruise ship, you will begin getting off the vessel. Then your day turns to the Luxor tours.

You will go to the Valley of the Kings. There you will see the tombs chosen by pharaohs of the New Kingdom. These rulers came from the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties. Next, you will visit the Colossi of Memnon. After that, you will see the Temple of El Deir El Bahari, made as a mortuary temple for Queen Hatshepsut.

Later, you will finish the west bank of Luxor. After that, you will travel to the Karnak temple complex. You will also see the Luxor Temples as part of the east bank program.

You can add an optional hot air balloon ride. This needs an extra ticket.

In the afternoon, you will fly to Cairo. Your final departure will be from Cairo International Airport. This ends your 6 Days Cairo and Nile Cruise Easter Tours.
