Start in Cairo, a lively city with a lot to look at. Visit the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx. Stop by the Grand Egyptian Museum, where you can view many ancient items in one place. You can also see churches in Coptic Cairo. Later, walk through Khan el-Khalili and do some traditional shopping in the busy lanes.

After that, travel to Hurghada on the Red Sea. There you can relax on clean beaches. You can also try water sports. Finish the trip with a seaside Easter break that feels calm but still full of fun.

Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrive Cairo, Optional Nile Cruise Dinner

When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, our representative will meet you and take you to your hotel in Cairo. They will also help you with the check in. After that, they will review your 6 Days Cairo and Hurghada Easter Tours plan with you.  

Once you reach the hotel, you will be given a welcome drink.  

Tonight, you can choose an optional Cairo Nile dinner cruise. You will enjoy a buffet dinner while your cruise boat sails along the Nile for about 1 hour. You will also watch an oriental show with belly dancing. A Tanoura dance performance will be part of the entertainment during the cruise.

Day 2:
Pyramids, Dahshur, Memphis

After enjoying your breakfast you'll get to learn about the history of the people who built the pyramids and much more during your day tour in Cairo to Giza Pyramids, Dahshur and Memphis with your tour guide.

Today you can start your Cairo day tours with a visit to the Giza Pyramids. You'll be amazed by how huge these amazing ancient Egyptian structuresre built more than 4500 years ago by some of the most successful ancient Egyptian kings and rulers.

The Great Pyramid of King Cheops is an example of the talent and effort of ancient builders. It shows their skills and engineering abilities. This pyramid was built using than 2.3 million blocks of limestone to be the eternal home where he would rise to the heavens. The building was 146 meters tall with each side being 230 meters long.

As you pass by the plateau you can enjoy a beautiful view of the three pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus.

Chephren, the son of Cheops built his pyramid a bit than his fathers standing at 136 meters tall. Some of the covering is still at the top.

You'll see the Great Sphinx in Giza which's a statue of a lion with a mans head. It is believed to have been built by King Chephren. You can enter the Valley Temple where the kings mummification process happened as part of the burial.

Continue your tours of Cairo by visiting the site of the city of Memphis now called Mit Rahina. There you can see the open-air museum with the largest sphinx made from alabaster and the huge statue of King Ramses II, who was one of the most powerful kings during the new kingdom.

Then you will go to the Dahshur site to see the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid—two of the four pyramids built for King Snefru, the founder of the 4th dynasty and the father of King Cheops. The Bent Pyramid still has a part of the outer covering making it one of the most special pyramids in Egypt. The Red Pyramid is known for the color of the limestone blocks used and is considered the first perfect-shaped pyramid in the history of Egypt.

You'll have a lunch at a top-rated restaurant that offers a view of the pyramids of Giza before being taken back, to your hotel.

Day 3:
Fly to Hurghada, Optional Hurghada Bedouin Desert Safari By Jeep

Start your day with a filling breakfast. Then you will be taken to Cairo airport for your flight to Hurghada. When you arrive, a member of our team will meet you and take you to the hotel. They will also guide you through the check-in steps. Spend the rest of the day doing what you like. You can relax by the pool. In the evening, there is a night show to enjoy. If you prefer something extra, you may join the optional Hurghada Bedouin Safari by jeep at sunset. There are also other Hurghada excursions you can choose from.

Day 4:
Snorkeling Trip to Mahmya Island By Boat

Join an easy snorkelling trip from Hurghada to the Mahmya Islands. You will go by boat. Your guide will first meet you and take you to the dock. Then you board the boat and head out to the islands.

Along the way, you stop at spots chosen for good snorkelling and swimming. The area is a natural protected site, with coral reefs and many types of fish. After the snorkelling on Mahmya Island, you return by boat and transfer back to your hotel.

Day 5:
Fly to Cairo, Grand Egyptian Museum(GEM), Coptic Cairo, Khan El-Khalili

Start with a tasty buffet breakfast. After that, you will go to the airport and take your flight to Cairo. When you arrive, your guide will meet you. Then you will be taken to the oldest part of Cairo for a Coptic Cairo tour that explains local history in detail.

You will visit the Hanging Church of the Holy Virgin Mary. This church was built over the ruins of the Roman fortress of Babylon. Next, you will see the church of St Sergius, also called the cavern church. It has a well where the Holy Family is said to have found water during their time in hiding. You will also visit the crypt area. After this, you will go to the Ben Ezra Synagogue. It used to be a Coptic church. Later, it became a Jewish synagogue after it was sold.

Have your lunch at a restaurant with good quality food. Then your Cairo day tours will continue with a visit to the new Grand Egyptian Museum, known as GEM. You will also see the oldest items on display at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. That museum opened to the public in 1902 and was made to hold a large collection of ancient artifacts.

Later, you will head to the oldest market in Cairo. You will shop at Khan El Khalili bazaar for a fun and memorable experience.

After your visits, you will transfer to your hotel. You will check in and stay overnight in Cairo.

Day 6:
Final Departure, Optional Saqqara Tour with Camel Ride

Your adventure is almost over. After your last tasty breakfast in Egypt, you will head to Cairo airport for your final flight. The Cairo and Hurghada tours will end during Easter.

If you still have time before departure, you can add a Saqqara day trip from Cairo. You will visit the oldest stone pyramid in history. It was built about 200 years before the Great Pyramid of Cheops in Giza.
