9-Day Romantic Egyptian Journey with Nubia Wedding Zaffa Celebration

When you land at Cairo International Airport, your tour guide will be there to greet you and help you through the first steps. After you finish the arrival checks, you will ride to your hotel in a clean, air-conditioned car.  

At the hotel, you will get checked in, then sit down with your manager to go over the plan. You will also confirm the timing for each pick-up so there is no confusion later.  

Stay overnight in Cairo.

Start the day with a filling breakfast. Then your guide will take you to the Giza Plateau, where history feels close at hand. You will see the Great Pyramids of Giza, still known as one of the Seven Wonders. Next, you will stop at the Sphinx and the Valley Temple.

When the tour ends, you will have a real Egyptian meal for lunch. After that, you will go to the New Grand Egyptian Museum, also called the Giza Museum. This site sits only about 2 km from the pyramids. It is considered one of the largest and most modern archaeology museums on the planet. Inside, you can find more than 100,000 items. These covers about 5,000 years. You will also find the full Tutankhamun set, shown together for the first time. The museum uses clean modern styling, hands on features, and wide views across the plateau.

In the evening you will be taken to Giza train station. From there, you will board the overnight train to Aswan. Meals are served on board. Dinner and breakfast will be brought to your compartment.

When you reach the Aswan train station, someone from our team will be there to greet you. They will help you get to your hotel.

After that, an air-conditioned van will take you to Abu Simbel. This is a small-group day trip. The ride takes about 3.5 hours.

At Abu Simbel, you will see the rock-cut temples that still look bold and bright today. First, you visit the Temple of Ramesses II. It honors several gods, and it also includes Ramesses II. Next, you go to the Temple of Queen Nefertari, also called the Temple of Hathor.

These sites link the royal couple with the sun god in a way that feels very clear once you are there.

Later, your guide will bring you back to your hotel in Aswan.

Have a nice breakfast at the hotel to begin your day. A staff member will meet you and take you on a calm felucca trip along the Nile. You will reach a Nubian village where life is simple and easy to see.  

You will be greeted by friendly locals. Then you will watch a Nubian Zaffa celebration with live music and dancing. It feels lively and warm, the kind of moment you will remember for a long time.  

Afterward, you will ride back to Aswan.

Stops: Nubian Village for a Nubian Wedding Zaffa celebration.

Start with breakfast at the hotel. Then you will be picked up and taken to the Nile Cruise boat, the Dahabiya, so you can get settled.

Have lunch while you are on board. Later, you will visit Philae Temple, one of the most well known stops in Aswan.

In the late day, dinner is served on the ship. At 5:00 PM the Dahabiya will sail onward toward Herdiab Island. You will stay there for the night.

Have breakfast while the boat moves toward Kom Ombo. When you reach the port, you will see the Kom Ombo Temple. It is split into two parts. One is tied to Sobek, the crocodile deity. The other links to Haroeris, also known as Horus the Elder. After the tour, the dahabiya heads on to Edfu so you can rest there for the night.

Sleep on board in Edfu on your dahabiya.  
Food will be served: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  
You will visit: the Kom Ombo Temple.

Have an early breakfast as the boat heads to Edfu. When you reach the town, you will tour the Edfu Temple. After that, the cruise continues toward Esna. You will have lunch while the boat goes through the Esna Lock. In the evening, the ship carries on and stays in Luxor for the night.

Sleep on board the Dahabiya in Luxor.

What you will see: Edfu Temple.

Once you finish breakfast on the ship, you will go ashore. You will then be taken to see the Valley of the Kings, followed by a visit to the Karnak Temple. After the tours, you will ride to Luxor Airport for your return flight to Cairo. When you land, a representative will meet you, help you with your bags, and guide you to your hotel near Cairo Airport.

Sightseeing: Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple.

Have breakfast at the hotel.  

After that, you can relax on your own for a bit.  

Later, you will travel to Cairo International Airport for your final flight.
