The moment you arrive and pass through Cairo airport safely, a staff member from Egypt Tours Portal will be there to greet you. He will guide you through passport checks and help with your bags, including luggage handling and identification. After that, you will be taken straight from the airport to your booked 5-star hotel. This transfer will be by private, air-conditioned car, and you can check in once you reach the hotel.

Dinner
In the evening, your Egypt Christmas tour starts with a Nile dinner cruise. You will have time to unwind while you travel along the Nile. On board, you will see a belly dance performance and a folklore band. The show also includes the Tannoura spinning segment, in line with the famous whirling dervish style.

Overnight
After the cruise, you will return to the hotel for the night.

First stop: Giza Pyramids Complex  
Giza is known as a golden land. It holds major archaeological sites. Many date back to about 2600 BC. That was the era of the 4th dynasty. It is also the time when the stairway shaped idea became part of the story.

Next, see the Great Pyramid of Khufu  
The Great Pyramid was meant to last. Today, it is the only fully intact site among the ancient Seven Wonders of the World.  
It was ordered by King Khufu, who lived from 2609 BC to 2584 BC. He asked his architect Hemiunu to plan a lasting resting place.  
The height reaches 138.5 meters, which is 454.4 feet.  
The work relied on about 400,000 skilled workers. They also stacked about 2.3 huge limestone blocks for each level. Inside, there is a golden area. It is connected to the granite chamber for the king.

Lunch  
Have lunch at a restaurant with views of the Pyramids and the Nile.  
After lunch, you will head to the next visit.

Egyptian Museum  
The Egyptian Museum is a major archaeological site downtown. In 1901, it became known for showing famous objects from ancient Egypt.  

Night travel  
In the evening, you will go to Cairo Airport to board your flight to Aswan. When you arrive in Aswan, you will check in at a 5 star deluxe Nile cruise. Then you will have dinner and sleep on the ship overnight.

After you eat breakfast on the cruise in the morning, keep your Christmas trip going in Egypt. Start with Aswan’s best known places, in this order.

First, go to the High Dam.  
This major project was made from the mid 1960s to the 1970s. It helped Egypt by holding back the yearly flood water in Lake Nasser. It also made power for the country.

Next, visit the Unfinished Obelisk.  
This site is a rare piece of ancient work. It was shaped under Queen Hatshepsut, around 1508 to 1458 BC. It was meant to stand at the entrance to the Karnak temple area. Even now, you can see how carving was done and what the stone workers knew.

Then, head to Philae Temple.  
Here you can find scenes tied to the story of Osiris. The temple walls are covered with old carvings that many travelers remember. It began in about 380 to 362 BC. Later, it became an important place for worship of Isis. That period ran from about 282 to 145 BC. Today the temple stands on Agilkia Island.

Sail on during the day and stay overnight on the boat.

Kom Ombo Temple  
Kom Ombo is a temple with two parts. It was built during the late Ptolemaic years, between 180 BC and 47 BC. The site honors Haroeris, also known as Horus the Elder, and it also honors Sobek, the crocodile god of the Nile.

Next, your cruise heads to:

Edfu Temple  
Edfu Temple was made in the Ptolemaic era, from about 237 BC to 57 BC. It was built for the sky falcon god Horus. The temple also connects to a famous fight from ancient Egypt.

After that, you sail on until you reach Luxor. You arrive after dark, then stay overnight on the ship. Your lunch and dinner are served onboard the cruise.

After breakfast, your guide will meet you. You will also travel in a private air conditioned car. This is part of your Egypt Christmas trip. Today you will see Luxor highlights. We start at:

Valley of the Kings  
This place is one of the best known spots in ancient Thebes. You will visit a royal tomb area with a golden themed entrance. Inside are 63 tombs. They were made for important rulers and members of the royal court. Some names you may hear include Amenhotep I, Hatshepsut, Seti I, and Tutankhamun. Most tombs belong to the New Kingdom period, from about 1570 to 1050 BC. This spans the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties. The area also helps you understand how ancient Egyptians handled funerary traditions and tomb art.

Colossi of Memnon  
Next you will visit the Colossi of Memnon. These two giant statues date back to around 1350 BC. Amenhotep III carved them. Each statue shows his face. The height is about 18 m, or 60 ft. The weight is near 720 tons. The statues were repaired and restored more than once. One famous time was in the Ptolemaic period, when people spoke about sounds heard near sunrise.

Karnak Temple  
At Karnak Temple Complex, the area tied to Amun is a key part of the site. Work on these parts began around 1971 BC, during the early Middle Kingdom. The complex continued until about 30 BC, which marked the end of the Ptolemaic era. This part was built as a major focus for religious life. It also connects to the Theban triad, Mut, Amun, and Khonsu. You will also see references to other gods, such as Isis, Hathor, Ptah, and more.

Overnight  
In the end, you will transfer to Luxor airport. Then you will fly to Cairo. After you arrive, you will stay overnight in a 5 star hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel in the morning, then our representative will transfer you to the airport and assist you at the airport through final departure formalities to end your 6 Days Egypt Christmas tour.
