The Mazag Experience: Private 7-Night Luxury Nile Sailing

Luxor Aswan Luxor

Description

We named this boat 'Mazag' for a reason. In Egypt, that means finding your perfect mood, and that’s exactly what this trip is about.

While the big ships are rushing to beat the clock, we’re taking it slow. You’ll spend your mornings on a sun-drenched deck and your evenings moored beside quiet islands like El Sheikh Fadl—places the big boats can’t even reach.

Inside, the Mazag feels like a floating villa. It’s stylish but comfortable. Our crew takes care of everything, from fresh meals on deck to private tours of the Valley of the Kings and Philae Temple. Whether you’re traveling as a family or a couple, this 8-day journey is the most authentic way to see the Nile. No rush, no crowds—just the river and you.

Itinerary

1
Day 1: Welcome to Ancient Luxor
Settling in and the East Bank.

Once you're on board and settled, we’ll grab lunch and head out to see the Karnak and Luxor Temples. We'll spend the night moored on the West Bank, away from the city noise.

2
Day 2: The Valley of the Kings
Beating the crowds at the West Bank.

We hit the West Bank early to see the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut’s temple before the midday heat. By afternoon, we’re sailing toward Esna. Grab a coffee on the sundeck—it’s tea time while we drift south.

3
Day 3: Exploring Edfu
A quiet night by Al Ramady Island

After a morning sail, we’ll head out to Edfu Temple. The rest of the day is pure relaxation as we head to Al Ramady Island for dinner and a quiet night on the water.

4
Day 4: Silsila & Kom Ombo
Dinner on El Sheikh Fadl Island.

We visit the ancient quarries of Silsila and the double temple of Kom Ombo today. The highlight? We moor at El Sheikh Fadl Island for an outdoor dinner before sailing toward Aswan.

5
Day 5: Island Temples & Spice Markets
Exploring Philae and the High Dam.

We arrive in Aswan as the sun hits the water. Today, you’ll visit the romantic Philae Temple and the High Dam. In the afternoon, the local spice market is all yours to explore at your own pace.

6
Day 6: Optional Abu Simbel Trip
A slow morning on the Nile.

You can take the morning to visit Abu Simbel (highly recommended!) or just sleep in. After lunch, we start our return journey north, heading back to the peaceful vibes of Al Ramady Island.

7
Day 7: Sailing Back to Luxor
Crossing the lock and final sunset views.

Enjoy a slow breakfast as we sail toward Esna. Watching the boat rise in the lock while you eat lunch is a cool experience. We’ll spend our final night back on Luxor’s West Bank.

8
Day 8: Departure Day
One last breakfast on the water.

Enjoy a final breakfast with the crew before checking out. It’s been a full week, and you’re leaving with some incredible memories.
