A rep will meet you at your hotel in Cairo or Giza. They will pick you up and drive you to Wekalet El-Ghoury for a Tannoura show.
The venue was built in 1504 A.D, during the time when the Mamelukes were in charge. The show is one of the best known traditional acts in Egypt. It runs at night and is tied to folk music.
Before the main part starts, you will hear selected folkloric pieces. Local Egyptian musicians will play the tunes. After that, the Tannoura part begins.
You will watch whirling dervish performers. They wear bright tanouras and move in a steady, spinning way. You will also see traditional Egyptian dance moments.
When the show ends, your rep will take you back to your hotel. This will mark the end of your tour with us.
