Day 1:

Drive to El Minya / Visit Tuna El Gabal
You will start early in the morning. Your own Egyptologist will meet you at your hotel in Cairo. Then you will travel by a private deluxe air conditioned car. The ride will take about 4 hours to El Minya.
When you arrive, you will visit the ancient plain. This is where Akhenaton is believed to have had divine inspiration for starting his city.
Lunch will be served later.
After lunch, your route will include these stops.
Tuna El Gabal
This is an old archaeological area. It was used for burial tombs connected to the ancient city of Hermopolis. Tuna El Gabal also worked as a worship place for Thoth, the god linked with wisdom. One of the best known tombs here is the tomb of Petosiris, who was a loyal priest of Thoth.
In the evening
At the end of the day, we will take you to a 5 star hotel. You will check in and stay overnight.

Begin with breakfast. After that, your tour guide will meet you, then a new private car will take you on the drive to El Minya. Along the way you will see:
Beni Hassan Tombs
These are among the most striking burial places in the area. They date to the Middle Kingdom of Egypt. The tombs served as a stop for the governors of El Minya during the 11th and 12th dynasties. Most burials in Ancient Egypt are not set this way, but Beni Hassan tombs are on the east bank of the Nile.

Tel Al Amarna
This is a lesser known gem in the Nile Valley. Pharaoh Akhenaton founded it in 1363 BC. He made it his new capital after he changed the worship system in Egypt. He also brought Egypt’s gods under one god, Aten, the sun god.
At the end, you will be taken back to your hotel in Cairo. The ride will be in an air conditioned vehicle.
