We will come to your hotel and pick you up for a private half-day visit. First stop is the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. It is one of the top sites in the city.
The Egyptian Museum is one of the oldest archaeology museums in the Middle East. It was opened in 1901 under Khedive Abbas Helmy II. The museum sits in the center of downtown Cairo. Inside, you can see items from the Predynastic Period up to the Graeco-Roman era. The date range runs from 5500 BC to 364 AD. Most displays are on two floors.
You will also see well known finds. These include the complete burials of Yuya and Thuya. Other highlights are Psusennes I and items connected with Tanis. There is also the Narmer Palette. It marks the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt under one ruler.
