Begin your Cairo trip to the pyramids with pickup from your hotel. A private car with air conditioning will meet you. Then you will travel with your own Egyptologist guide. Together, you will see the Ancient Egyptian civilization at one of the world’s famous sites.
Giza Pyramids Complex
In Giza, you can still feel the weight of the past. The area holds the three major pyramids. It also has smaller pyramids nearby. You will see the Great Sphinx as well. There is also the Valley Temple. This work is linked to the Old Kingdom, from 2686 to 2134 BC.
The Great Pyramid
The Great Pyramid was made for King Khufu. It served as his final resting place. It was meant to connect him with the sky. Hemiunu, his vizier, is named as the designer. The pyramid rises to 147 m. It was built with about 2.3 million limestone blocks. Inside, there are areas like the King’s chamber and the Queen’s chamber. You can also find the grand hall and other lesser known sections.
The Great Sphinx

The Valley Temple is an important sacred structure. It appeared in 2700 BC. Its role was tied to the mummies of the kings and queens of the Old Kingdom. It helped them endure through time.
