Itinerary

Day :

We will collect you from your hotel in Cairo. Then you will meet your own Egyptologist for a private tour. You will travel in a comfortable air conditioned vehicle.

Your day starts with the Egyptian Museum visit.

You will see major pieces from Egypt’s long past. The museum opened in 1901. It is located in the center of Cairo.

Lunch comes next.

You will have lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo. After that, your guide will take you to more sights.

First stop is Salah El Din Citadel.

This place was used as a seat of government until the 1860s. The Citadel is a strong and impressive fortress. Work began in 1176. It finished in 1182. It was built during the reign of Salah El Din.

Next you will visit Mohamed Ali Mosque.

The mosque was built between 1830 and 1848. It is often called the Alabaster Mosque. That name comes from the light stone used on many walls. The design also follows the style of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul.

Afterward, you will go to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.

This museum presents Egypt’s history and culture in a clear and modern way. It is the first museum in the Arab world and North Africa focused on ancient Egyptian civilization. It covers time periods that go back over 4000 years.

Later, you will enjoy Al Muizz Street.

Al Muizz Street is known for old Islamic style details. You can browse rare items along the way. The area links closely with Khan el Khalili Bazaar. Much of what you see traces back to the 10th century.

Khan El Khalili Bazaar

You will not really finish Cairo without stopping at the Khan El-Khalili bazaar. This market is known as one of the oldest and most well known places in the Middle East. People often point to its start in 970 AD. That was also the year Cairo was founded.

Later, we will take you back to your hotel in Cairo. You will ride in a private, air conditioned vehicle.
