At dawn, our driver will meet you at your hotel. A private Egyptologist guide will travel with you in a closed air-conditioned car. We will head to the Giza plateau to see the old wonders of ancient Egypt.
Giza Pyramids Plateau
First stop is the Giza Pyramids Complex. In the Old Kingdom, this area became one of the grandest stone landmarks in Egypt. Here you will focus on key sites from the ancient Egyptian civilization, including these highlights:
The Great Pyramid
The Great Pyramid of Giza is linked with Pharaoh Khufu, dated about 2609 BC to 2584 BC. Many people call it the biggest archaeological monument ever made in Egypt. Tradition says Hemiunu, Khufu’s chief vizier, oversaw the design. The height is about 147 m. It used roughly 2.3 million limestone blocks, for a mass around 6 million tons. Inside, you can find the Queen’s chamber, the King’s chamber, the grand gallery, and other chambers.
The Great Sphinx
The Great Sphinx is also known as Horus of the Horizon. It is shown as a lion-bodied figure in the image connected with Pharaoh Khafre, dated about 2558 BC to 2532 BC. The paws are tied to old stories, including the dream of Thutmose IV, dated to 1401 BC.
The Valley Temple
The Valley Temple is described as a place made to support royal rituals. It is said to connect with the mummification rites for members of the 4th dynasty. The goal was to help the royal family move toward the heavens.

After the sights at Giza, we will take you to a local restaurant in Cairo for lunch. This is part of your day trip from Cairo. Your private guide will stay with you.
Saqqara Step Pyramid
Next, we visit the Saqqara Step Pyramid. It is built as six steps that rise toward the sky. The structure is about 62 m tall. It is the largest major cut stone work connected to King Djoser. It is often described as a doorway into the early age of pyramid building.

When the tour ends, we will drive you back to your hotel in Cairo.
