The Zabbaleen community built their unique world which residents can see from their approach to Garbage City. For decades this resilient group has built one of the worlds most effective recycling systems which they use for waste collection. The guide will explain to you their daily activities and cultural practices that enable them to operate their self-sufficient community according to their scheduled timetable. The tour proceeds to a highly exceptional religious site found in Egypt which is the stunning St. Simon the Tanner Monastery. The Cave Church of Saint Simon which serves as the central attraction of this magnificent complex rests at the site of this mountain rock formation.
