Itinerary

Day 1:
Cairo – Siwa

The traveller will first meet his tour guide before setting off on the journey, to Siwa. The most comfortable air-conditioned minivan will then carry you along, roughly 600 kilometres northwest from Cairo, the Egyptian capital. We’ll pass by Marsa Matruoh along the route, and it has one of Egypt’s prettiest beaches , pretty much the kind you’d pause for without thinking, before stopping for lunch at a nearby restaurant.

Arrive at Siwa, get checked in, and spend the night there to get ready for those jaw dropping views you’ll want to catch the next day.

Day 2:
Siwa tour

After breakfast, we kind a start our tour of Siwa by heading to the Cleopatra Bath, which is basically the area’s most famous natural spring of water. You can also take a bath right here in the breathtaking natural basin . It’s kind of strange honestly, because there is no real link between the place and the story, and no proper explanation why this spring was given the moniker Queen Cleopatra. The most significant and well-known building in Siwa, the Temple of the Oracle of Amun, comes next as the second stop of the day. One of the most famous oracles of old times was actually housed in this temple. To be crowned as the King of Egypt, Alexander the Great traveled to this temple in 331 BC.

Then we go toward the “mountain of the dead,” which locals call Gabal Mawta in Arabic, where quite a lot of rock-cut tombs, from the Greco-Roman era up through the 26th Pharaonic dynasty, have been found. Among the notable sights are the third-century BC tomb of Si-Amun , and the priest’s tomb of Mesu-Isis from the 26th dynasty.

Spend the evening at Siwa’s hotel, relaxing a bit and letting the day cool down.

Day 3:
Siwa tour

So we left, for a journey to the Great Sand Sea in Egypt’s Western Desert, which is kind of sitting inside the largest desert on the continent, after we had a full breakfast. Just take in the splendor of one of Egypt’s most distinctive places, the grand look of the Sahara, and those endless sand dunes too.

Now we’re going to enjoy sandboarding, the kind where the fun is sliding down sand dunes instead of snow, after we pass Dakrour Mountain. Then the Bir Wahid hot spring is a perfect spot to unwind after a day of skiing.

Spend the night in Siwa’s hotel.

Day 4:
Siwa – Cairo

After a really delectable breakfast we kind of check out of the hotel, then we head for Cairo in a private air conditioned minivan. We arrive there, check into your hotel in Cairo, relax a bit and we spend the night, there.

Day 5:
Giza Pyramids Tour,The Grand Egyption museum

Alright, your trip starts with a hotel pickup, nothing complicated, and when you show up the guide will be there to greet you. Then the real fun can finally start.

To see the famous pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus, you’ll step back through time into the Ancient Egyptian era. You’ll visit the Valley Temple and get up close with the Great Sphinx while you tour the tombs belonging to the old pharaohs. It feels kinda unreal, in a good way.

After that, ride a camel across the desert, just to get a taste of how life might have been for an ancient Egyptian. This is, without doubt, a once in a lifetime kind of thing.

Next up, take a historical tour of Cairo, where you’ll see the smaller but still meaningful spots that most people miss. Enjoy the wide panoramic views of the Pyramids and the Sphinx, grab a bite with some optional Cairo cuisine , and then head to the grand Egyptian Museum to see the country’s priceless artifacts. The city has a long, local story that reaches from antiquity to modern days, and honestly it’s always moving. So, find out what’s happening in Cairo right now, because meeting people and getting familiar with how locals live can really improve your vacation.

When the day trip ends, you’ll be taken back to your hotel.

Day 6:
Back home

On the very last day of your Egypt Travel Packages, you’ll get breakfast at the hotel, so nothing to worry about there but please do remember to check out by 12:00 PM, and if you still have a bit of time try one of our optional Cairo day tours. After that, you’ll be transferred to Cairo International Airport by your personal Egyptologist guide, for your last departure.
