Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival to Cairo

Welcome to the mystical lands of Egypt where the Pharaohs ruled for thousands of years. When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, your tour guide will meet you, help you out, and in a way ease the whole process by arranging an entry visa. After that you will be guided through the busy streets of Cairo in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Once you reach the elegant boutique hotel, Le Riad Hotel de Charme Cairo, tucked away in the center of Old Islamic Cairo, your tour guide will support you at check-in and also go over your itinerary together with you, just to be sure, and to lock in and confirm all the pick-up timings for every activity during your visit.

Day 2:
Tour to Giza Pyramids & GEM

After you’ve enjoyed a tasty, wholesome breakfast at your hotel, your personal guide will kind of usher you toward the Giza Plateau, so you can start your day by admiring one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramids of Giza. You’ll also have time to see the well known Sphinx, plus the Valley Temple.  

Once the pyramid part is finished, you’ll head to lunch at an authentic Egyptian restaurant, then you’ll go over to the New Grand Egyptian Museum, also called the Giza Museum. It is an archaeological museum in Giza, Egypt, about 2 kilometers , (1.2 miles) from the Giza pyramid complex. Later on, return back to your hotel.  

Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3:
Fly to Aswan - Philae Temple Tour

Day 4:
Abu Simble by Road (Small Group) - Dahabiya Embarkation - Sail to Kom Ombo

After, enjoying a delicious breakfast at your hotel, your tour guide will come to collect you from the hotel to get on a modern, air- conditioned coach for a trip with a small group to the spectacular Temples of Abu Simbel. These two Temples of Abu Simbel were built by Ramses II, and though their style is truly distinctive, they’re often described as the masterpieces of ancient Egypt, really, the glory and grandeur of the New Kingdom comes through there. After this mind blowing stop, you will be escorted to step aboard your Nuun and Nuut Dahabiyas—two of Ashranda's most luxurious dahabiyas, offering a high level of privacy,almost like it’s personal time.

You’ll enjoy a delicious lunch on board your dahabiya while sailing toward Kom Ombo. Then you’ll land on the shores of Kom Ombo and wander through the town alongside the locals, until you reach the unusual Kom Ombo temple with its two identical entrances, hypostyle halls, and sanctuaries. Once you’re done visiting, you’ll return to your dahabiya where an appetizing dinner will be waiting for you.

Overnight: aboard your Dahabiya near Beshir Island.

Visits: Abu Simbel, Kom Ombo Temples.

Day 5:
Sailing to Edfu

Yet again a scrumptious breakfast on board to get your day going, while you sail on toward your next stop, Edfu. Then you head out , and you do the whole visit of the Edfu Temple, which is one of the best-preserved temples from the Greco-Roman period—this one dedicated to Horus at Edfu. You’ll have a magnificent time as you ride in a horse drawn carriage, back and forth to the temple, and you can actually marvel at Upper Egypt’s everyday local life, like it’s right there in front of you. You pass through the slow paced countryside, with the farmers and fishermen around, it feels almost unhurried. Just sink into the astonishing, green, fertile scenery that’s sprinkled with banana and date palm trees, really, it’s quite something.  

After that, you come back to your dahabiya , and you get a filling lunch as you sail off to your next stop, the El Kab village. Later on, enjoy a warm delicious dinner, right there with the calm and quiet water of the Nile around you.

Day 6:
Sailing to Esna

Have your last morning on the dahabiya, with a truly mouth-watering breakfast while you glide toward Esna. It’s a full day of relaxed vibes and calm serenity. Lunch and dinner will be served right on board, so you don’t have to think about a thing

Day 7:
Disembarkation - Luxor West Bank Tour - Overnight in Luxor

Enjoy your breakfast onboard, disembark your dahabiya,and then simply carry on with your Nile journey. You will be whisked along through the streets of Luxor and then arrive at the first visit of your Luxor trip. First, you’ll go to the West Bank where you’ll see the Royal Cemetery for 62 Pharaohs,plus the Valley of the Kings, and after that, head to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, it was created by the architects of the New Kingdom in the 15th century BCE at Deir El-Bahari. You’ll end the day as you stand there and marvel at the towering Colossi of Memnon. After finishing your stops on the West Bank, you will be transferred to your hotel in Luxor, so you can spend the night. At this point you can unwind at the hotel or join our team for an optional (Not Included) Sound & Light Show at the Karnak Temples.

Overnight in Luxor.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Visits: Valley of the Kings, Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon.

Day 8:
Karnak & Luxor Temples Visit - Fly to Cairo

Enjoy your final morning in Luxor, with another lovely breakfast right there, next to the calm waters of the Nile , it feels almost too peaceful. After breakfast your tour guide will come with you for what is basically your last stop on this whole adventure, East Bank. When you arrive, you will step into the ancient atmosphere of Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Then , after you finish your final attraction in Luxor, you ll be taken quickly by private car through the streets of Luxor and on to Luxor Airport so you can board your flight back to Cairo. Once you land , someone will meet you at arrival and you ll be transferred to your hotel for your last night in the Land of Pharaohs.

Day 9:
Final Departure & Flying back home

Enjoy a breakfast that’s been lovingly prepared at your hotel, then step out and just roam around the streets of the gorgeous capital, Cairo. Take some free time at your leisure, do a bit of strolling, have a chat with a few locals, or sip Egyptian tea at a small local café. When your flight starts to near, you’ll be transferred through the busy Cairo roads to Cairo International Airport, for your final departure back home.
