Cairo to Abu Simbel Tour: The Best 8 Day Egypt Itinerary

Your tour guide will meet you and help you at Cairo International Airport (arrival procedures), and then escort you to your hotel in an air-conditioned deluxe vehicle . Once you get there, at the hotel, your tour guide will guide you through a smooth check-in, and then go over your budget vacation itinerary together, so we can set and confirm the pick-up times for each tour.

After a really enjoyable, wholesome breakfast at your hotel , your own guide will sort of guide you toward the Giza Plateau to begin the whole trip by admiring one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramids of Giza. Then you will visit the well known Sphinx and the Valley Temple. After the pyramid time, there’s a lunch stop at a genuine Egyptian restaurant, and after that you’ll head to the New Grand Egyptian Museum , which is Egypt’s newest cultural landmark, siting just about two kilometers from the pyramids. After that, you’ll head to the splendid Luxor Temple, often described as one of the world’s most astonishing open-air museums, plus it’s the second most visited historical place in Egypt. Then, off to the majestic Karnak Temple complex, and later you’ll return back to your hotel.

After breakfast, get into your air-conditioned , wifi-enabled ride and head toward Aswan, yeah it’s about a 5 hour drive. When you arrive, a New Dynamics Travel rep will meet you, and you’ll be moved to your hotel so you can do check-in. First there, you’ll stop at the Unfinished Obelisk out in the granite quarries, it is pretty striking. Then, you go on to the Temple of Philae on Isis Island, which is wonderfully preserved, and it’s dedicated to the goddesses Isis and Hathor. Later, you return back to the hotel.

Youll start the day realllll early with a breakfast box at 4:30 am , then kick off your group tour toward the Abu Simbel Temples, roughly 3.5 hours by car from here. When you finally arrive, you’ll come across the astonishing temples dedicated to Ramses II and also his adored queen Nefertari. These monuments near the Sudanese border are famous for their pure beauty, but honestly also notable for their more modern story  -- in 1968 they were entirely moved to stop them from being flooded when Lake Nasser rose big time. Once you arrive, a New Dynamics Travel Tours representative will meet you there and help you get settled by checking you into your hotel in Cairo, pretty smoothly. Then you’ll have a day to do your own thing, or you can choose an optional excursion to see the Step Pyramid of King Zoser at Sakkara, along with Memphis.

Have a free day in Cairo , or if you feel like it, pick an optional escape to the shiny seaside city in the north, Alexandria. There, you can admire the magnificent Qaitbay Fort, which was built by a strong sultan in the 15th century, right on the spot where Alexandria’s ancient lighthouse once stood. After that, you’ll continue to the new and widely praised Library of Alexandria. You’ll also tour the Catacombs, that sunken Roman cemetery, actually carved straight into the bedrock. Then it’s back to Cairo again.
