5 Days Trip to Egypt: Cairo and Luxor Tour

When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, your New Dynamics Travel representative will be waiting inside the terminal, sort of ready to help you with the arrival formalities , and then escort you in a private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Cairo.  

Once you’re at the hotel, your tour guide will handle the smooth check-in, goes over your planned itinerary, and also confirms the pick-up timings for the following day(s). You will get contact details for 24/7 help throughout your stay . The remainder of the day is yours to unpack, chill, and ease into the city after your flight, no rush.

After breakfast, you’ll meet your private Egyptologist guide, and then drive over toward the Giza Plateau to catch one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World — the Great Pyramids of Giza. From there its just sort of natural to continue past the iconic Sphinx and also the Valley Temple that’s associated with King Chephren, you know that whole area.

Have lunch at an authentic Egyptian restaurant, then in the afternoon head to the nearby Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). This place is filled with an extraordinary array of ancient artifacts and it’s really not far from the pyramids. When you’re done, return to your hotel in Cairo, and spend the evening at leisure, no rush

Visits: Great Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx , Valley Temple , Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM)

After breakfast, just check out and get transferred to Cairo Airport, for the quick flight to Luxor (about 1 hour). When you arrive you’ll be welcomed and moved to your hotel so you can drop off your luggage, before you start the East Bank tour.

Next, take in the huge Karnak Temple Complex, where you’ll see that forest like setting of papyrus-shaped columns, plus obelisks, and a sacred lake. After that, you’ll go on along the Nile to Luxor Temple, it’s nicely placed right in the city center, and it’s tied historically to Karnak by the Avenue of Sphinxes.

Later in the evening, you can pick an optional Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple (something you can pre-book) , where the whole site is lit up in a dramatic way and there’s a narration that walks through the tale of ancient Thebes.

If you want, begin the day with an optional sunrise hot-air balloon trip above Luxor’s West Bank (as a pre booked add-on, weather permitting) ,so you can get that jaw dropping bird’s eye feel of the Nile, the cultivated plots and the tombs right at first light.  

After breakfast, head over to the West Bank to wander through the ancient necropolis , take your time. Stop at the Valley of the Kings, where the New Kingdom pharaohs were laid to rest, then go on to the impressive Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, carved into the cliffs at Deir el-Bahari.  

To wrap it up, do a photo break at the towering Colossi of Memnon , before you swing back to the East Bank. Later, transfer to Luxor Airport for your evening flight back to Cairo. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted and driven to your hotel for the last night.

Have breakfast at your hotel, then you’ll have some free time until your departure transfer, ok. At the agreed time, a New Dynamics Travel representative should meet you in the lobby, and from there escort you via private vehicle to Cairo International Airport for your flight back home.
