You will be collected at Port Said and driven to Cairo in a cool, air-conditioned car. A member of our team will be waiting to help you.
First, you will visit the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. After that, you will go to the Panorama area to take clear photos of the three pyramids. If you want something different, you may try a short camel ride in the desert. It is a new way to enjoy the empty sands and the view of the pyramids.
Next, you will see the Great Sphinx. It has the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh. The feature is linked to the reign of Chephren.
After the pyramids, you will head to Coptic Cairo. You will visit the hanging church inside the gatehouse of the Roman fortress called Babylon Fortress. This church is known as the Hanging Church. Inside, there is a portrait of the Virgin Mary. Some people say it seems to watch you no matter where you stand. To reach the top, you climb 29 stairs. In early medieval times, visitors also called it the “Staircase Church.” The Hanging Church is the best-known Coptic church in Cairo, and it may have been one of the earliest basilica-style buildings.
Later, you will take a two-hour BBQ lunch trip on a felucca on the Magic Nile River. Lunch is served as an open buffet. There are also shows with oriental music and culture.
At the end of the day, you will be taken back to the Port Said port so you can board your cruise ship.
