Our journey starts in Dahshour City, a site that lies five miles from Sakkara. We will pick you up from the port at Said Port in a air‑conditioned car. You will see the pyramids: the Red Pyramid, the North Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid the three that stand in this area.
Pharaoh Snefru, the founder of the Fourth Dynasty owns two of the pyramids. Queen Hotep Heres, his wife owns the pyramid.
This is the spot where you can see the Bent Pyramid, a step in the development of Step Pyramids. The two‑level design and the soft casing layer give the Bent Pyramid a look. While you explore the Bent Pyramid you will also view the queen’s pyramid.
Next stop at the Red Pyramid or the North Pyramid. These are the authentic complete pyramids from ancient Egypt. You will learn about how the Old Kingdom built tombs. You can enter the pyramid’s chamber through a tunnel, which is a fascinating experience.
You will also see an achievement: the transport of several royal mummies and artifacts to the museum. We will eat lunch at a restaurant before taking you to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. Have a day! During your tour of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) you will see one of the world’s antiquities museums. NMEC is the museum devoted entirely to Egyptian civilization. Than 50,000 items will be on display each showing a different stage of civilization from prehistory to the present. The long exhibition will highlight the peaks of civilization and will include the museum’s collection.
The museum contains buildings used for services, businesses and recreation. It also has rooms for exhibits and an exhibition about the development of modern Cairo.
Finally we will take you back, to Said Port.
