When you arrive at Alexandria port in the morning, our team will meet you and guide you to a private car with air conditioning. We will take you to your first stop right away.
In Cairo, your day starts with a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. The museum tour lasts close to two hours. You will look at major works left by the pyramid builders, including Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus. You will also see the gold pieces linked to Tutankhamen. Your guide will explain the sites in a clear way, so the long story feels easier to follow.
After the museum, lunch will be served at a good restaurant in Cairo.
Next, you will visit the Citadel of Salah El-Din. This old fortress is well known and sits in a central spot in Islamic Cairo. From there, you can take in wide views across the area. You will notice many minarets and domes. Inside the citadel, you will also visit the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali.
If time allows, we will then go to Khan El Khalili, the old market area from the Islamic era.
At the end of your Alexandria shore trip, we will return to Alexandria port by car. On the way back, we will stop to view the Library of Alexandria from outside. If there is time, we will also talk with you about the culture and history of Egypt, both ancient and modern.
