A staff member will meet you at the Alexandria Port exit by the ship. They will hold a card with your full name. After that, you will travel to Cairo for your Alexandria land visits.
The drive is about 3 hours from Alexandria Port.
First, you will begin your trip in the Giza Plateau area. Your first stop will be the Great Pyramid. You will have time to enter and walk inside. This lets you see one of the seven wonders up close.
Next, your guide will take you to the Second and Third Pyramids, belonging to Chephren and Mykerinos. Afterward, you will visit the Sphinx. Many people link it to the god with a human face and a lion body, a symbol tied to the strength of a lion.
Later on this same day, you will visit the Valley Temple of King Chephren. Then you will move to the Nile River side. From there, you will have a lunch cruise on the Nile.
When you board the cruise, it will sail for nearly one hour. During that time, an oriental buffet lunch will be served. From the water, you will be able to view the Cairo Tower and other spots along the Nile River.
You will also enjoy two shows. One is a belly dancing performance. The other is a folkloric show known as the Tanoura Dancing Show, or the turning dervish.
At the end of your tour, your guide will escort you back to the cruise ship at Alexandria Port.
