Upon our arrival we will be transferred to the Giza pyramids which're the most iconic structures in the world. Your knowledgeable Egyptologist guide will provide an introduction to each one of the three pyramids—Cheops, Khafre and Menakaura—from your perspective. This trip will be an experience for all who participate.
After viewing the pyramids you will travel to the plateau to take pictures of the three pyramids emerging from the sand with the Cairo skyline in the backdrop. You may stand at the foot of the Sphinx Egypts icon for thousands of years after a brief journey to the city side of the plateau.
The Memphis and Saqqara tour is a way to see two of Egypts most iconic archaeological sites up close and learn about the rich history of Egyptian civilization.
Your visit to Memphis will give you a glimpse into the culture of Egypt and the impressive ruins of the palace of Pharaoh Ramses II. You'll also be able to visit the Temple of Ptah which was once a temple in all of Egypt.
Next you'll head to Saqqara, where you'll see the worlds known pyramid. The Step Pyramid of Djoser is a structure and you'll learn all about its construction and history on the tour. You'll also get to see the tomb of the great pharaoh Tutankhamun, which's one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world.
After exploring Saqqara you'll visit the Papyrus Institute, where you'll learn about the art of papermaking. You'll also get to see some of the papyrus scrolls that have been preserved for centuries.
