We will pick you up at your hotel in Hurghada. From there, you will travel to Luxor in an air-conditioned deluxe vehicle.
First, you will go to Karnak Temple. It is one of the best known ancient worship sites and the biggest place of worship ever built. The old name was Ipet-isut. It can mean “the most sacred of places.”
Karnak was created over a long time. Many pharaohs, one after another, added to it. Inside the site, the Hypostyle Hall stands out. It is filled with huge pillars that seem to stretch in every direction.
At lunch time, you will stop at a local restaurant in Luxor. After lunch, you will head to the West Bank of the Nile. There you will see two giant statues of Amenhotep III, also called the Colossi of Memnon.
Next, you will visit the Valley of the Kings. The tombs there were cut deep into desert rock. They are known for rich decoration and items meant for the pharaohs’ afterlife. You will visit 3 tombs in this area.
Later, you will visit the Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary. This temple is dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut. She is the only female pharaoh. The temple rises from the desert plain in a set of terraces.
After that, you will have free time in Luxor. You can relax and do some shopping. You may visit original papyrus institutes and an alabaster factory.
In the end, you will be driven back to your hotel in Hurghada.
