Itinerary

Day 1:
Abu Simble Temples from Aswan by Flight

Have a great trip to Abu Simbel by plane.

A representative will meet you at your hotel in Aswan. Then you will fly to Abu Simbel.

Abu Simbel is known for two main sites. One is the Great Sun Temple of Ramses II. The other is the Temple of Queen Nefertari.

These temples were found in 1813. At that time they were almost fully buried under sand.

In 1960, the Egyptian government and UNESCO helped move both temples. This was done to protect them from the rising waters of the Nile.

The Ramses II temple was built to honor him. Inside, you can see a mural about his victory at the Battle of Kadesh. In that scene, his army defeats his enemies.

To the north, there is the Nefertari Temple. It was built by Ramses II for his wife, Queen Nefertari.

After your visits, you will fly back to Aswan. Then you will be taken by car back to your hotel.
