First stop is Abydos. It is an old Egyptian site linked with Osiris and the idea of the afterlife. Many people believe the dead were brought here.
You will see the temple of Seti I. Work began under King Seti I and it was finished later by King Ramses II.
Abydos is in its own city area. It is around 420 km south of Cairo, in Sohag Governorate. It is also about 135 km from Luxor.
Inside, the wall scenes in the Osiris Temple stand out. The images of gods and pharaohs still look very clear and well kept.
After that, you will go to Dendera. There you will visit the Temple of Hathor, who was seen as a goddess of love and happiness.
The temple sits in Dendera, which is north of Luxor.
