Day 1:
Day 1:
A New Travel Dynamics staff member will meet you at your hotel in Cairo. From there, you will head toward El Fayoum and see its well known places. The drive from Cairo to Fayoum is about 95 km.
Today, the route focuses on Wadi El Ryan. This area was set up as a Protected Area in 1989. First, you will go to Wadi Hitan Protected Area. It is also called the Valley of the Whales. It sits about 90 km from Fayoum.
Wadi Hitan is part of the Wadi El Rayan Protected Area. UNESCO listed it as a World Heritage Site. The reason is the whale skeletons there, which are about 40 million years old.
Next, you will stop on the way to Wadi El Rayan Water Falls. The visit includes Mudawara Mountain. After that, you will continue to Wadi Al Ryan Water Falls.
Wadi El Rayan is a natural depression in Egypt’s western desert. Wadi Rayan has two lakes. They are linked by Egypt’s only waterfalls. These waterfalls were formed in 1970. The cause was overflow drainage water from the farms in Fayoum.
Late lunch will be served at a good restaurant. After lunch, you will return to Cairo.
