Abu Simble Temples from Aswan by Flight

Go to Abu Simbel without hassle. In the morning, catch a flight from Aswan to Abu Simbel. Take time to look at the rock cut tombs along the edge of Lake Nasser. In the afternoon, return by plane to Aswan.

Itinerary

Day :

Have a great trip to Abu Simbel by flight. A representative will meet you at your hotel in Aswan. Then you will go by plane to Abu Simbel, home to two famous sites: the Great Sun Temple of Ramses II and the Temple of Queen Nefertari.

Both temples were first found in 1813. At that time, they were almost buried under sand.

In 1960, the Egyptian government and UNESCO helped move both temples. This was done to protect them from the rising Nile water.

Ramses II built the sun temple to honor himself. Inside, there is a wall scene that shows his victory at the Battle of Kadesh. His army is shown defeating his enemies.

To the north, you will see the Nefertari Temple. Ramses II built it for his wife, Queen Nefertari. She was one of many wives and concubines.

After your visit, you will fly back to Aswan. Then you will be taken by car to your hotel.
