5 Days in Egypt – Siwa Oasis Tour

Transfer to Cairo Bus Station and take the air-conditioned bus to Marsa Matrouh, then catch the next bus to Siwa Oasis. Upon arrival, you will be met and assisted by our representatives as part of your Siwa Oasis Tour.

Overnight Camping.

Enjoy breakfast, then begin your Siwa Oasis Tour with a visit to Dead Mountain, then drifting to the Siwa House Museum and the Old Fortress of Shali, not rushing it too much. You can continue toward the Oracle Temple, there you’ll spot the coronation hall tied to Alexander the Great, and after that, go see the remains, the Temple of Amun ruins, it’s quite something.

Next, make your way to Dakrour Mountain, known for its hot sand, also thought of as one of the best spots for a classic sand bath. People have used this for ages as a natural remedy for rheumatism and rheumatoid conditions.

Overnight Camping.

Enjoy breakfast, then in the afternoon, begin your Siwa Oasis Tour by car and make your way to the lovely lakes of Bir Wahid. There you can swim in both salt and fresh water, it feels kinda unreal, honestly.

After that, go to the Hot Spring at 37°C, take your time for a warm soak then stop at Fossils Mountain to gather shells and also, to notice the unusual natural charm of the neighboring desert.

Later on, watch a jaw dropping sunset from the top viewpoint around Siwa, then enjoy a tasty dinner near the campfire. You’ll spend a magical night out in the desert, sleeping under a sky full of stars, with that quiet serene atmosphere of Siwa.

Overnight Camping.

Have breakfast, then go for the drive across the highest sand dunes in the Western Desert, getting up to around 80 meters in height, while you head to the east.

Keep going until Abou-Shrouf, where you’ll find one of the largest and most spotless natural springs around. Take a calm swim in that sulfur-rich water, it is usually spoken about as helpful for the skin and also for rheumatism.

After that, continue your Siwa Oasis Tour and stop at Zauton, the old village of Abou-Shrouf. There you can look at the Roman olive oil press, and also the Black Roman Tomb, then later visit the newly unearthed Roman tombs, these hold ancient skeletons.

When you’re on the return route back to Siwa, Visit Koraishet Spring and Ein Safi, a lovely clear natural spring, and then head back to the desert camp.

Overnight Camping.

Enjoy breakfast and prepare for the final journey of your 5 Days in Egypt Siwa Oasis Tour. After breakfast, head over to the bus station, so you can take the bus from the Siwa Oasis to Marsa Matrouh, it leaves at 10:00 AM. While you ride, notice how everything starts to shift, you’ll move away from the calm Siwa Oasis, and then you pass through the striking views of Egypt’s Western Desert.

The bus should reach Marsa Matrouh around 2:00 PM. When you arrive, you’ll have some time, before you board the next bus bound for Cairo, departing at 5:30 PM. Then keep going toward Cairo, with the relaxing transfer arrangements, and take a moment to think about the unforgettable moments and those little discoveries you collected during your 5 Days in Egypt  Siwa Oasis Tour.
