Pyramisa Island Hotel Aswan is this large, spread-out resort perched on its own private island right in the middle of the Nile. It’s basically surrounded by water and sweeping desert scenery from Upper Egypt , so it feels sort of tucked away and quiet, yet it still stays pretty close to Aswan’s main cultural places.

Unique island setting & access, the main thing here is how cut off the hotel is on a private 28-acre island, where there’s lush tropical greenery and lots of little walking paths. Since there are no bridges to the mainland, guests basically come in and leave only through the resort’s own private boat service or motor launches. That short, everyday river crossing kind of turns into a slow scenic arrival moment and also adds that extra bit of privacy, away from the city noise.

Accommodation & views

The resort offers hundreds of rooms, suites, and garden chalets. The accommodations lean traditional , and yeah some furnishings can feel classic or even slightly dated , but the rooms still come with private balconies or terraces. Since everything is on the island and surrounded by water, many rooms have direct or at least partial views of the Nile River, the landscaped gardens, or the nearby hills. So it’s a nice spot for watching sunrise and sunset, right over the water.

The tour showed excellent organization because every aspect was properly managed from beginning to end. The free time I received allowed me to explore at my own speed, which I found enjoyable. The special thanks go to Mr. Abdullah and driver mesho because they demonstrated professional behavior and trustworthy conduct. The staff members displayed a friendly attitude, which they combined with their willingness to assist customers. The price was reasonable, and the explanations were clear and easy to follow. I would recommend the company, although a few details could be improved slightly.
