Next, we drive toward Luxor. The ride takes about three hours.
When we arrive, you visit Karnak Temple. It is the big man made religious site everyone talks about. Walk through the hall with giant pillars and take your time to look around.
After that, we cross the Nile. Then you tour the west bank in Luxor. You will see the two huge statues of Amenhotep III. These are known as the Colossi of Memnon. Afterward, you go to the Valley of the Kings. There, you will see the tombs of 62 rulers from the New Kingdom. This includes Tutankhamen, Tutmosis the third, and Ramses II. The tombs are carved into the mountain. Many rooms have painted walls and scenes. The chambers hold items meant for life after death.
Then your Luxor visit continues. You will visit El Deir El Bahary, also called Hatshepsut's Temple. This place is linked to the first woman ruler mentioned in written history. After the tour ends, your guide returns you to the cruise at Safaga Port. This is after your Egypt tours, and it covers about 220 km.
